Curious As a Cat #10…

Curious As a Cat

Here’s the questions…

1) What makes you smile like nothing else can?

2) Are there any reality TV shows you’d try out for?

3) Tell about a family member you’re very proud of.

4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

and here’s my answers…

1) What makes you smile like nothing else can? My youngest son…he makes me laugh every single day. First of all, he’s a great mimic, and he loves nothing better than to mimic me…but it’s hysterical. Second, we share the same sense of humor. Another thing that makes me smile is a really great book. When I find one that transports me somewhere else?!? Heaven.

2) Are there any reality TV shows you’d try out for? NO! NO WAY! I’m not a huge fan of reality shows anyway, and I can’t think of a single one I’d want to be on.

3) Tell about a family member you’re very proud of. I’m proud of all my children. My son A has one of the best work ethics I’ve ever seen, and he’s always been that way. He put himself through University with very little help. My daughter dropped out of school as a teenager and kind of drifted for a while…then she went back. First to a community college and then to a University. I was so proud of her when she graduated both. She’s also the family party planner, and always does a terrific job. My son J is the smartest of all of us and has the best sense of humor as well. He’s also the one that likes to surprise me with little treats.

4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

Eeep! Not a fan of guns.

Your turn now…

    1. What makes me smile? My animals. My two dogs, as well as my daughter’s dog and my son’s cat (currently residing with us) bring a smile to my face everyday. Even if I’m sad, or it’s been a particularly rough day, their unconditional love warms my heart.

    2. A reality show I’d try out for? I’m with you Tamie, no way! I don’t watch much TV, and one of the reasons is probably because of some of the programming that’s out there.

3.I too have three family members I’m extremely proud of. My daughter is in her last year of law school and is one of the most caring, compassionate people I know. She wants to focus on Children’s services and foster-care reform. My oldest son has strived to make a name for himself in the culinary world, working in Chicago for a celebrity chef and he’s only 23! One day, I suspect he will have his own cooking show. My youngest worked extremely hard in school and on the football field, to procure for himself a full scholarship to a Div I school. But I’m mostly proud of the amazing human beings they have become.

    4. Uh…upon looking at this photo, my first thought was that it was a “personal service accessory” Guess you know where my mind is ;-)

    This was fun…thanks :-)

    1. My dog can always make me smile. No matter what kind of day I’m having, he seems to know when to snuggle and when to let me be. He also wakes up every morning happy. :)

    2. Not a fan of reality shows, so I’m with you on not trying out for one either. Yuck!

    3. My sister is going through a hard time right now with a divorce. I am proud of how she is dealing with protecting her son from the pain he must be going through right now. I know that it is for the best for everyone.

    4. I thought that was a bullet. I don’t have any experience with guns, so nothing to add about bullets either.

  3. My husband makes me laugh, smile, get angry and a whole gamut of emotions and has done for nearly 40 years, his love of life and of me keep me grounded. Each day I smile purely for the joy of having him near. Other things that make me smile are, my big Sister, my two dogs and my children and grandchildren,

There are reality shows that spike my interest and I wouldn’t mind having a go at being in them, then I sit back and decide that maybe I would have years ago. Things like “The Great Race” and Renovation shows, could be fun and I sometimes think that the contestants are a little insipid or full of bluster and arrogance and then decide that they aren’t for me.

I’m very proud of both my kids, they have become the independent and self reliant adults that I wanted them to be. They are both ethical and moral in the way they conduct their lives and both have a good heart and share what they can with others.

When I was a very little girl, I place a bullet up my nose and had my Father in a blue funk trying to remove it….:o)
