Curious As a Cat (#12)

Curious As a Cat

Here are this weeks questions…

1) Have you ever been arrested?

2) In what ways would you like to change the world?

3) Has a book ever brought you to tears?

4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

and here are my answers…

1) Have you ever been arrested?

Thank heavens I can say no to this question (knock on wood) I have never been arrested except in a very funny story by Shari (Once Upon a Museum…A Vingette ) that featured me and 4 of my favorite authors…SR, E.L. James, Debra Anastasia, and C.L. Parker. OMG! If you haven’t ever read it you should…it’s hilarious!

2) In what ways would you like to change the world?

Well, besides the obvious…peace, an end to hunger, literacy… I’d just like to see people treat each other better on a day to day basis.

3) Has a book ever brought you to tears?

O…my goodness…many, many times!

4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

Ok…I completely suck at putting stuff together…one time my oldest son and I bought a bookcase that wasn’t pre-assembled…after we got it all done guess what I noticed? One of the shelves was upside down…guess what else? I left it that way. LOLOLOL!

Your turn peeps…

    Oooooh, good ones.

1.) No, I’ve never been arrested. There have been a couple of speeding tickets, but that’s about it.

2.) People are horrible to each other. Every day, in small ways & big. Most of the world’s many ills would probably be cured if people would stop being so vicious to others. That’s the first thing I’d love to see change.

3.) Yes! Which is impressive because I almost never cry (ugh…human emotions). The Last Unicorn, The Time Traveler’s Wife, & Jane Eyre’s Husband all made me just SOB.

4.) That picture reminds me of when my hunny & I were renovating our first house (GOD WHAT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE THAT WAS). Somehow at some point a wall of nails fell on my dad (the pointy side, of course), & every time I see nails now I think of that. He wasn’t that hurt & was up on his tetanus shot so it was just hilarious.

    1. Have I been arrested, no. I am a goody two shoes.

    2. My hope is that if people see how I live, what I do, how I try to offer kindness, that others may try to do the same. Something we say at work I think makes sense – lead from where you are.
I can’t say I succeed every day, but I try.

    3. Books have brought me to tears many, many times.

    4. Unfortunately, today I feel the nail is me. I have physical therapy today and I know it will be a painful day.

    Have a good Monday all.

  3. Debs says:

    1. Arrested , no never… :-)

2.Change the way we treat each other and the Earth.. Neither will be here forever for the forgiving ig we don’t change now..

    3. Books, and tears.. yes, tears of sorrow, frustration, and joy. I am one that lives in my books as I read them. I am one that when it’s over I look up and wonder how the world is the same and doesn’t see the changes.

    4. This nail in wet wood .. reminds me of all the nails in the deck I have tripped over and replaced.. with screws!!!

    Have a most wonderful day!!

  4. 1. Arrested, not yet

    2. Wouldn’t want to change the world, but would like to change some of the people in it, its we who make the world a better or worse place to live

    3. Many times, mostly one that has heightened the emotion before hitting with a tragedy or a feeling of good will.

    4. Someone stuck something in the wrong place at the wrong time
