Hi there!! I’m going through my nostalgic phase again, and I have a feeling it’s only going to get worse, as it gets closer to November. I am longing for the original Edward, the one I fell in love with. I mean when I finished reading the books the first time, I was definitely Team Edward, but when I found Midnight Sun, I was changed by his thoughts and emotions expressed there. I think it was that incomplete story that drew me to fan fiction. I needed, craved to learn more about Him. Edward Anthony Mason Cullen.
I am hoping that you guys will share some great EPOV stories that are “canon-like”. New ones are hard to find because I can bet most authors feel like it’s all been done, but prove me wrong. I will share my favorites, but only if you’ll show me yours. *giggle* No worries, I’ll go first.

Not sure what compelled me to start this WIP, because I don’t look for Twilight canon stories to read, because of MS, but this one is really amazing. The UST is so good, because he IS a guy, right? This story doesn’t start from the beginning, but from when he leaves for Alaska. You know, “for personal reasons”.

Ithaca is Gorges by Giselle-lx
Very angsty, but fantastic. I remember reading this right before the NM came out, and cried in almost every chapter. I have always had a soft spot for Carlisle, and this author really loves him. This story reminded me that the family also left Bella, and they didn’t want to do that, but had to for Edward. They went thru hell with him.

So technically, this isn’t that canon-like, but it is difficult to find AU stories for this book. Edward doesn’t take Bella kissing Jacob that well, and I don’t blame him one bit. I’m not happy with Bella, at this point in the series either. Edward pretty much looses his sh*t, and Bella has to put him back together, and regain his trust.
**Side note-Want a creepy, scary story to read for Halloween or just because? Her story Masque of Red Death is one of my favorite, OOC AU stories. Go on, you want to read it, I know you do…
How can you NOT smile while watching this? This is my favorite part of the whole movie.

O.K. I’m talking about “canon-like stories”. Lolashoes’ stories don’t count because they don’t follow canon. I do love her Bella and Edward though. *happy sigh*
The Ties That Bind by NicoleTwilight
I’m reading this one right now, and it is really good. This one starts at when Edward and Bella are leaving the island to come home and deal with the pregnancy. I am again reminded that the Cullen family dealt with a lot, having Bella in their home, dying before their eyes. Edward and Rosalie are at odds with each other over protecting Bella and the baby. Alice is dealing with Bella choosing to go to Rosalie instead of her, and not seeing a clear future for Bella or Edward. Serious family problems here. The writing style reminds me of Midnight Sun, more than anything I’ve read before.
Now, the stories above are not that lemony, because they are close to the style of the original story, and some are even rated T. *gasp* I do have one story that I read that has some serious lemons, but still follows canon fairly close.
Blood and Lust by awesomesauce76
This story starts right before the wedding, and is about Edward’s struggle to deal with his blood lust, so it is slightly darker.
Again, I am open to other suggestions, because I am a huge EPOV fan. That is my favorite thing to read, so hit me with them, please. *waiting and staring at comment boxes*

I did read Dark Side of the Moon, but liked Ithaca better, maybe because I read it first?? Could be because of all of the Carlisle in it too. I actually have Crimson Aurora on my TBR list now. Maybe I’ll read it after finishing The Ties That Bind.
I FREAKING ADORE anything by windchymes, but Blood Lines & Distractions especially. My very favorites are the ones that follow canon up to a point & then diverge. The actual books are frustrating for several reasons, mostly because some of the plot points seem contrived (James) & Jacob “No Means Yes” Black.
I’ve read both of those stories and loved them, especially Blood Lines.
