Curious As a Cat (#15)…

Curious As a Cat

Here’s the questions…

1) You discover that the person you’re head-over-heels about loves good homemade & handmade desserts. What will you concoct when you have this person over?

2) What would you leave in your will for the person you care about the most?

3) What do you consider to be the most valuable thing you own: when you were a child/teenager/now?

4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

and here’s my answers…

1) You discover that the person you’re head-over-heels about loves good homemade & handmade desserts. What will you concoct when you have this person over?

If he likes candy then I’ll make my Almond Butter Nut Crunch, and my Dreamy Fudge. Cake lover? Then it’ll be my Hawiian Tropical, Devil’s Food  Kahlua , or Mile High Chocolate  Mousse  cakes. If he ‘s more of a pie guy then hands down he’ll love my Apple, or Pumpkin…ok now I’m in the mood to bake or make one of the above :)

2) What would you leave in your will for the person you care about the most?

I have a beautiful antique armoire from my Dad. It’s my most prized piece of furniture with lots of sentimental value.

3) What do you consider to be the most valuable thing you own: when you were a child/teenager/now?

As a child- my books…teenager- my music and my journal…now…my books ( and the above mentioned)

4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

It reminds me of flying…I don’t like flying, so I don’t ever get a window seat.

Now it’s your turn…

  1. 1. An apple pie, I make GREAT apple pies or a Plum Duff using my Mum’s recipe Yum..

    2. Have absolutely no idea, my daughter wants my wedding and engagement rings but thats all

    3. The most valuable thing I alone own is a ring bought for me by my husband, has 7 Argyle diamonds in it….it was bought for me just because…

    4. Unlike Tamie, I love flying and prefer the window seat, scenes like this seem quite common around Australian capital cities but never further inland…

    1. I was told i make the best oatmeal cookies. But even better is my pecan candy aka pralines. I cant even make them anymore cuz i lost the recipe in hurricane katrina.

    2. I dont know.

    3. That would be my quilts. My hubby’s grandma taught me how to quilt by hand. Absolute no machines were used. And i put all my blood and sweat and hours and hours into making them.

    4. Sightseeing by air.

  3. 1) Blueberry Perogies with sugar and melted butter

    2) All of the photos, mementos, and letters documenting the trials, deaths, survival and eventual liberation of my various family members from German Work Camps and Aushwitz prior to/during/following WW2.

    3) Child – The Atari Game system I got from Santa in 1978.

Teenager – Autographed Depeche Mode picture (circa 1986).

Adult – My children (Do they count? I think I own them until they are 18.) ;)

    4) Area 51 is the first thing that I thought of when seeing this pic.

    1) I would make my tiramisu- it got me a proposal, well, maybe it was the lasagna, or the garlic bread topped with tomatoes and mozzie, or the wine. Naaa, he said it was the misu.

    2) I would give my daughter the ruby and diamond ring that I bought myself after my divorce. It was so empowering to buy that for myself! When I look at the ring now, I know that I am a strong capable woman & “that which doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger” (something I tell her her all the time). I have even written a letter to her describing exactly what the ring has meant to me and what I would want her to remember when she looks at it.

    3) I don’t have much in the way of material things- the ring that I mentioned, my books, and paintings.

    4) Honestly, my first thought was Area 51 and how so many things are hidden from us….in many different ways.

This was fun & my first visit here-one of many now:-)
