Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop where we will post about one book per week that has been on our wishlist for some time, or just added. It’s hosted by Pen to Paper.
I’ve had the Sleeping Beauty trilogy by Anne Rice on my wishlist for quite some time. Happily, I’m participating in a blog tour in September for the 1st one…The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty. It’s publisher, Plume, which is a division of Penguin Books was kind enough to send not just book one, but all three paperbacks. Thanks Plume/Penguin…you made this girl very happy indeed with that nice surprise. I’m waiting til it’s a little closer to the blog tour to begin reading them, and that’s taking a huge amount of self control on my part…believe me.

From bestselling author Anne Rice, writing as A.N. Roquleaure. In the traditional folktale of ‘Sleeping Beauty,’ the spell cast upon the lovely young princess and everyone in her castle can only be broken by the kiss of a Prince. It is an ancient story, one that originally emerged from and still deeply disturbs the mind’s unconscious. Now Anne Rice’s retelling of the Beauty story probes the unspoken implications of this lush, suggestive tale by exploring its undeniable connection to sexual desire. Here the Prince reawakens Beauty, not with a kiss, but with sexual initiation. His reward for ending the hundred years of enchantment is Beauty’s complete and total enslavement to him as Anne Rice explores the world of erotic yearning and fantasy in a classic that becomes, with her skillful pen, a compelling experience.
Here’s a few more covers of the book…you know me…I love book covers…

What’s on YOUR wishlist?!?

Hahahaha, this just pbroves my point i made yesterday on another blog. With the popularity of 50, more people are admitting they read smut and they are not ashame. This books are OLD!
This will be my last comment for today. In laws has no wifi. Later for now. I will check by tonight.
Too many books to list. Not enough time in the day/week/month/year to read.
I read the Beauty books ages and ages ago. Still have the three in a box set. Gosh…what to read next?
Are you doing the tour with AToMR?
Yes I am, and I’m looking forward to it
Yep, these are on my wishlist too!
