For months after I read Gabriel’s Inferno I didn’t have a clear picture in my head of Professor Gabriel Emerson…people would make suggestions and I’d think…well maybe…he’s a possibility…nope just not right…because the Gabriel I had floating through my brain had to be uber good looking, extremely masculine, sexual and just all kinds of yummy. For me he also needed to match up as far as the description that’s given in the book…you know…age, hair and eye coloring…yeah…that stuff.
And then one day last April I was having some email conversations with someone *you know who you are* and we happened to be discussing this very subject…and David Gandy came up…pictures were exchanged…and a light bulb moment happened for me…that was it…I was done…I had my Gabriel. Finally.
Let’s run through their stats first shall we?!?
Gabriel is in his early 30′s in the books…David Gandy is 32
Gabriel has amazing blue eyes…David Gandy has amazing blue eyes
Gabriel has brown hair…David Gandy has brown hair
Gabriel is fit and trim…Um…yeah…he has a hot bod …David Gandy has a hot bod

I know that not everyone sees David Gandy as their Gabriel Emerson and you know what?…that’s ok…because what I see in my head when I think about the Professor doesn’t need to be what anybody else sees in theirs. The only thing that really matters is that we all share a love of the Professor right?!? Right!

I almost didn’t recognize this guy with his clothes on! You see, my wife has this HUGE Gandy picture book and you can even see his periscope (and his fruit basket) in one or two shots.
The best part about David is his positive attitude. He’s a nice guy plain and simple and I don’t blame you ladies for drooling like happy kittens.
I still have yet to see him in Argyle though. (Jennifer would ker-splode).
