Happy Halloween! Do you like to read scary books? Why or why not? If so, what is the scariest book you ever read and why does it deserve that honor?
Nope…scary isn’t my favorite genre. I don’t read a lot of it. I think it’s safe to say that books by John Saul scare the crap out of me. I was reading one and it actually made me nauseous from the descriptions. I had to stop, but I did end up finishing it. Sorry, I don’t remember the title now.
Just for fun – have you ever dressed as a literary character for Halloween? Brave enough to show a photo if you have one?
OMGosh…yes I have, and all as an adult. I have been both Dorothy and Glinda from the Wizard of Oz, Alice from Twilight, and Dopey from Snow White. Sadly, no pictures exist, or at least none that still survive
What about you guys?

Does Cruella DeVille count? I was her for 3 years in a row.
Scary? Not sure. Maybe a little. I say not sure because I very much enjoy mystery/thrillers, especially those of a medical nature and those can tend to have some gore to them.
The more I think of it, there are some of Anne Rice’s vampire novel that have horror in them, or even her Mayfair Witch books.
I dunno. I guess that’s a yes.
Have I dressed like a literary figure/character for Halloween? I don’t really think so.
Scary story IT by Steven King. Dressed up, sadly this will be my first year since forever. I will be Cat Gurl to my sons Dark Knight
we dont celebrate Halloween in Oz as a rule but I do like a great Steven King book for a little terror….
