Musing Mondays is hosted by Should Be Reading
This week’s musing asks…
Do you ever get crushes on fictional characters? Name one (or a few), and tell what you liked…
Whoa! Are you kidding me?!? I’ll agree to the term crushes for some, but for the ones I’ll discuss here I think a better, or more apt term would be obsessions addictions true fantasy love.
Yup…I know using the logical part of my brain that these guys aren’t real…but where’s the fun in that?!? So, I’ll let the emotional side of me have a little free reign on this topic and share some thoughts on a few of my most favorite fantasy boyfriends.
I know we all have our own visions of who we dream of think about when we picture our fantasy men…these are mine…
Gabriel Emerson- The Professor is smart, has a body that rocks the purple towel, and those eyes…OMGosh…those eyes. He’s well versed in the arts, a master of seduction with mad skillz in and out of the bedroom *coughWallSexcough*, and he knows how to set a scene for the one he loves. He’s an Alpha male through and through…yeah…I love that.
from Gabriel’s Inferno and Gabriel’s Rapture by Sylvain Reynard
Christian Grey- Yes…he’s a control freak and over protective, but for a guy that didn’t think he could do the whole vanilla relationship?!? O…yes he can…and so much more. Ready, willing, and able at all times…yup that’s Christian, and with a body and face that’s so fine to oogle.
Ready to do business…
Ready to play…
from The Fifty Shades trilogy by E.L. James
Kellan Kyle- My music man. He’s a hawt rocker for sure, but he’s also sweet and caring. He makes heads turn wherever he goes with his good looks and he’s got charisma. He knows how to play a guitar it’s true…but he also knows how to play…well…you know.
Such kissable lips…
Erm…
from Thoughtless and Effortless by S.C. Stephens
Gideon Cross- Powerful, intense, and this guy will make sure you’re well pleased…over and over again. The inky black hair, voice, and amazing body?!? Bonus ladies…pure bonus.

At the beach house…
from Bared to You and Reflected in You by Sylvia Day
Yes…I have more, but I think that’s enough to keep you all busy and very satisfied discovering for yourselves all that these guys have to offer…for now

Reblogged this on In Stefter's Humble Opinion and commented:
Yes! Yes! YES!!!
Edward Cullen, Jamie Fraser and Roger MacKenzie. All charming, smart, swoony and strong. I like to be entertained while I’m being protected… and ravished.
{panting and sweating} You got them all, ladies!! Gabriel wins top prize for me, with Gideon running a close second- sometimes a photo-finish.
.
I have to agree . . . I am obsessively in love with my three book boyfriends: Christian Grey, Gideon Cross and Gabriel Emerson. To me, they are all intelligent, beautifully-spoken, realistically flawed, powerful and passionate.
YES! Gabriel Emerson (holy sex on two legs Batman!), Edward Rochester, Christian Grey, Shadow from American Gods, Elijah Baley from Asimov’s Robot novels, Edward Cullen, Bigby from Fables, Henry DeTamble, Caden Grayson from Hearts in Darkness, Matthew Clairmont, & most recently Lucas Miller from Lessons Learned by Sydney Logan. There’s probably a lot more I’m not thinking of. Gabriel & Rochester are neck & neck for #1.
Braden Carmichael from On Dublin St. Lots of hot Scottish Alpha-ness.
Oh yes, I almost forgot about Braden!
Yes, to Christian, yes to Gabriel! I have to add Reid Andrews from Seducing Cinderella, and the Ross brothers, Evan and Brian from Unleashed and Rock Me. Mmmm….brothers. Tee hee.
I’m in love with two fictional characters, Gabriel Emerson and Christian Grey. They make my heart flutter and I feel like I’m 40 years younger. No pill can do what they do to me. (sigh)
For me, Professor Gabriel Emerson is #1. Let me catch my breath….. Gideon Cross #2, …… and of course Christian Grey at #3. I also love Alistair from Seven Years to Sin, as he was the inspiration for Gideon Cross.
Thanks for those great pics. David Gandy is my Professor..
hold up, I have another one. Gabe Adams in Throwaway. Quiet but sexy as hell.
I agree with you Tamie….Gabriel Emerson, Kellan Kyle, Christian Grey, and I’d add Ryan Matthews and Ryan Christensen. I’m finding new ones to fantasize about with each book I read
I am glad to see someone mentioned Ryan Christensen. Ryan Matthews sounds familiar, but I can’t quite remember which book he came from.
Here is a challenge ladies – try to imagine Gabriel, Kellan, Christian, and Ryan Christensen all wrapped up into one very hot package.
Holy crap! I’d spontaneously combust for sure
I’ll share some of my new loves….
Reed Wellington from The Premonition series by Amy A, Bartol
Daemon Black from the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Matthew de Clairmont from Discovery of Witches
My forever loves:
Edward Cullen
Christian Grey
Simon Lewis
Jace Wayland
You must read Gabriel’s Inferno/Rapture then you’ll be adding Gabriel to your list of men that leave women weak in the knees with hearts throbbing for more.
I LOVE every one of your choices! Holy cow to your Gideon Cross picture! Oh my! Totally him! Other favorites for me are the Ryans . . . . Ryan Matthews in Don’t Forget to Remember Me/Future of Our Past and Ryan Christianson in Love Unscripted/Love Unrehearsed! Ryan Matthews is sexy, romantic, hot, a sweetheart, smart, sexy, amazing to the point that I couldn’t get him out of my head for weeks when I finished reading the 2 books that are out. He is still popping in my head and I read those books like 50 books ago! ha! I just finished reading Unscripted and Unrehearsed and loved those as well! He is sexy, grounded, romantic, hot, sweet, normal, yet a rich actor and have I mentioned sexy?! I wish he were a real actor because I would now be following him! If you have ever posted pics of either of the Ryans and I missed them, I would LOVE to see your vision!
