Hello peeps…Happy Halloween to those that celebrate it, and happy Wednesday to all.
In light of the hurricane that has devastated many, I’d like to encourage everyone to think about making a donation to one of the charities that will be helping people get through the loss of a home, job, etc.
Sylvain Reynard has posted several charities that are worth donating to on his website with links. For the cost of a book or two we can all make a difference in someone’s life.
Speaking of SR…besides being one of the most charity minded authors I know of… he’s also been nominated for a Goodreads choice award in the Best Romance category for Gabriel’s Rapture. Ya’ll know how much I love that book and admire SR, so it won’t come as a surprise that I’d recommend you cast your vote that way. I’ve also used the write in option to nominate him for Best Goodreads Author and you can do that as well. This first round lasts from October 30th- November 10th, but don’t delay…you never know if Mother Nature might throw something else at us.
In the YA fiction category I love Easy by Tammara Webber and Slammed by Colleen Hoover.
I haven’t decided yet on any other categories…I’m getting ready to read The Rook by Daniel O’Malley which was recommended to me by SR, and it’s been nominated in the Paranormal Fantasy category.
Lastly, I’d love to thank everybody involved in the great blogiversay celebrations we enjoyed over the past two weeks. To all the authors that participated with such wonderful guest post gifts and giveaways as well, I can’t thank you enough for making our first year festivities such a memorable and special one. To all of our followers and supporters, I’m deeply appreciative of all the well wishes and enthusiasm you’ve shown for Bookish Temptations. You are why we do what we do, and we look forward to bringing you more of the same in this next year
Tamie Xo
Way to go, SR. You are an amazing man! <3
