I don’t know about you but the things my fantasy boyfriends say to their women just slays me. Sometimes it’s because it’s so jaw droppingly arousing. Um yeah…YOWZA! Have you ever daydreamed about one of these guys whispering erotic or sensual things in your ear while doing the deed?!? O. Please…of course you have! If not…you need new fantasy boyfriends. Aside from the sexy tho sometimes I love what they say because it’s just so damn humorous, and sometimes what they say is infuriating as hell. Occasionally they even say the most romantic things ever…swoony things…
Here’s some of the things my favorite guys have said that make me go…Whoa…Wait! What’d he just say?!?
I used to think my sister and I were just two nice southern girls who’d get
married in a few years and settle down to a quiet life. Then I discovered
that Alina and I descend, not from good wholesome southern stock, but from an
ancient Celtic bloodline of powerful sidhe-seers, people who can see the Fae.
Not only can I see the terrifying otherworldly race, but I can sense the
sacred Fae relics that hold the deadliest of their magic.
When my sister was found dead in a trash-filled alley in Dublin, I came over
to get answers. Now all I want is revenge. And after everything I’ve learned
about myself, I know I have the power to get it….
MacKayla Lane’s ordinary life underwent a complete makeover when she landed
on Ireland’s shores and was plunged into a world of deadly sorcery and
In her fight to stay alive, Mac must find the Sinsar Dubh-a million-year-old
book of the blackest magic imaginable, which holds the key to power over both
the worlds of the Fae and of Man. Pursued by Fae assassins, surrounded by
mysterious figures she knows she cannot trust, Mac finds herself torn between
two deadly and irresistible men: V’lane, the insatiable Fae who can turn
sensual arousal into an obsession for any woman, and the ever-inscrutable
Jericho Barrons, a man as alluring as he is mysterious.
For centuries the shadowy realm of the Fae has coexisted with that of humans.
Now the walls between the two are coming down, and Mac is the only thing that
stands between them….
Bloodfever is the 2nd book in the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning.
Y’all know how much I love the Fever series right!?! Well, several months ago I looked for some Fever ff, and it was in rather short supply. I was really kind of devastated… I want more Jericho and Mac…OK…really more Jericho than Mac but hey can you blame me?
A couple of weeks ago I was perusing thru fanfic.net and OMG! Guess what I found?!? Yep…you guys are so smart. I came across a good deal more Fever stories than the last time I checked. I have since read a few of them, and it occurred to me that maybe I should pass them along to you…cuz I know a lot of you are huge fans of Jericho and Fever as well.
I’d love to be able to dazzle you with my knowledge of ff lingo, but sadly I’m lacking in that area, and haven’t mastered all the terms yet, so bear with me Mkay?
I know most people are aware of the term “Writer’s Block” An author is unable to come up with a storyline, or can’t figure out where to go next with a scene or character. I’ve heard it’s fairly common, and can last hours, days, or even months. But what I want to chat about is “Reader’s Block”.
Some of you know exactly what I mean by that and it’s making you anxious just thinking about it. Yep, it gives me the shivers too. Some of you on the other hand are thinking what the heck is that? If you can read how can you have a block? For the uninitiated I hope you never experience it, but just in case lets discuss what it is and some tips I use against it.
Happy Friday and welcome back. Today, Annie and I have two fics to share and a theme.
I don’t know why saying ‘Jockward’ makes me giggle so much but it does. Jockstrap, Jock itch… Jockward. Yeah, that’s probably it. Seriously, an athletic Edward is a hot Edward; strong and buff and sweaty and probably all cocky and you see where I’m going with this I’m sure. 😉 First though, I wanted to apologize for not having a proper rec for you today. I’ve had a couple of very rough weeks and haven’t had the time or energy for very much reading. I’m glad this sports-themed post was planned because I’m going to trust in Savage and rec her Soccerward story without reading it. Forgive me?
Edward’s the star keeper for the Forks High School soccer team, and is already being scouted by leagues overseas. Bella’s just moved from Phoenix and interferes with his…focus. Soccerward lives! Rated M for the good stuff, of course.
Savage never disappoints and this is a complete story. 125 (!) chaps and over 30k reviews. I am so looking forward to reading this.
