Shout Out: Obsidian by Jennifer Armentrout

This week’s Shout Out is Obsidian by Jennifer Armentrout. It’s part one in the Lux series

The synopsis: When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring…. until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something…unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don’t kill him first, that is.

I read all three books in the Lux series that have been published thus far in five days. Yup, they are just that good.

Great story line and writing, combined with a super hawt guy named Daemon, and a heroine that I liked immediately named Katy made this book one that was hard to put down.

I am so glad to hear that you read the other books in the series and loved them!! I highly recommend the Covenant series from JLA too. Maybe we could do a post together reviewing these books? This was one of the book series I wanted to feature in a future post. 🙂

I read all four books in this series over the Holidays and absolutely loved them!! Actually “Shadows” is the story of Dawson and Bethany but it was really good too! I can’t wait for the next two to come out. Was thinking about reading the “Covenant” series too. I’m anxious to see what you think of them. 🙂
