Beyond Contemporary and Erotica: The World of Paranormal and Urban Fantasy

Looking for something different from contemporary romance or erotica?

You might want to check  out these paranormal books and authors…

1. The Dark Light Series by S.L. Jennings.

All I can say about this is Dorian ruined me hard. I haven’t picked up a  PN series in a long time and then one of my girls became obsessed with this and demanded I read it. I read it and man can I just say this book had everything, Angst, romance and some of the hottest Smexy time ever.

2.  The Alpha & Omega Series By Patricia Briggs

I love Patricia Briggs she can’t do any wrong. The woman writes these gripping stories that just make me want to crawl into her books and live there. This series is a spin-off of her hugely successful Mercy Thompson series another one of my favorites. This series however has much more of a romance element then that of the Mercy books.

3.  The League Series By Sherrilyn Kenyon

Hot men, check, action, check, hot sex, check, stories that will own you, check. You know how a lot of women credit E.L. James for kick starting their love of reading again. Well Ms. Kenyon did that for me. If you have yet to read her books you need to. Trust me they are spectacular.

These are a few more PN loves for a non PN lover. Hope you all can check them out.

With lots of love

I have 2 other recommendations you might like:
    1. The Caged series by Amber Lynn Natusch (Caged, Haunted, Framed, Scarred, Fractured)
    2. The Premonition series by Amy Bartol (Inescapable, Intuition, Indebted, Incendiary)

Both are very cool, urban paranormal fantasies. Very different from others I’ve read.

  2. Someone just told me yesterday to read the SL Jennings books! She told me they were H-O-T!!!

  3. Another fantastic, different paranormal series is : “The Supernova Saga” by CL Parker. The last book has a mind blowing revelation you will love!
