Today’s genre topic is non-fiction…
I went into this book pretty much thinking that there wouldn’t be any surprises because I knew what would be happening. This is Travis Maddox’s version of his relationship with Abby Abernathy in Beautiful Disaster. I was so very, very wrong.
Can you love someone too much?
Travis Maddox learned two things from his mother before she died: Love hard. Fight harder.
In Walking Disaster, the life of Travis is full of fast women, underground gambling, and violence. But just when he thinks he is invincible, Abby Abernathy brings him to his knees.
Every story has two sides. In Beautiful Disaster, Abby had her say. Now it’s time to see the story through Travis’s eyes.
Today’s topic is both serious and relevant, but you know me…I’ll try to inject a little humor and lightness into my thoughts on this subject…
LOL! I just realized that the title of this post sounds like we’re turning the lights out on the blog. That’s so not true, BUT you might want to turn on all of the lights in your house while reading some of these stories…*cue scary music*
Debb and I finally decided to do a post together to discuss some our favorite darker AU stories. We both love reading about vampires, especially the scary ones that focus on their true nature. Not sure what we were waiting for, but better late than never, right. 🙂
[Note from Debb: In the spirit of not spoiling we aren’t going to talk HEA/non-HEA. Read ’em at your own risk. If you dare…. mwuahahahahaha]
Hold on to your hats peeps, we have 5 stories to share. Whoa… That’s three completed ones and two WIPs. So let’s get to it, shall we…
Warning: This is not a story about fate or destiny. This is a story about pain, sorrow, and suffering. This is an impulsive whirlwind romance between two lovers that are not meant to be together. Theirs is not a world with sunshine and roses. Instead, their love blossoms in a secret world full of crime, violence, and death. Their story is about what can be born from nightmares.
Danielle “Danny” West is the daughter of Deuce West, President of the Hell’s Horsemen Motorcycle Club. A sweet and beautiful girl, she loses her way, searching for things that are always out of her reach. Erik “Ripper” Jacobs is the Sergeant of Arms in the Hell’s Horsemen. Once a man who always had a smile on his face, his life takes a turn for the worst when a tragedy befalls him, leaving him scarred and broken. During a midsummer night, Danny and Ripper’s paths cross, forever changing their lives. Hastily, their lust turns to love until another tragedy forces them apart. On a journey that is marred with ugliness and chaos, Danny and Ripper must discover if their unforeseen connection can find the beauty in their world.
This is Danny and Ripper’s story.
Everything has beauty. Even the ugly. Especially the ugly.
Because without ugly, there would be no beauty.
I am so excited to share the cover and snippet of Father & Son (Book 2 of the Jensen family Series) by Michelle Day with all of you. I know we have all been waiting for the story of Paul to continue. Prodigal Son (Book 1) by Michelle Day was my first review on this blog. Soon after that, I had the pleasure of interviewing the cheeky fellow as well. You can read that interview here. I am really looking forward to reading book 2 soon.
If you haven’t met Paul, you can find him on Twitter @ProdigalSon_1 and on Facebook as well at https://www.facebook.com/prodigalsonjensen1?fref=tsyou

By the way, I promise to let you know when Book 2 will be available.
I’m happy to share with you the cover and synopsis of Donna Huber‘s book…Secrets to a successful Blog Tour.
Donna was actually the first publicist who ever reached out to me when I first started book blogging. Guess what book she offered me an ARC of??? Fifty Shades Darker by E.L. James. I was part of the blog tour for FSD as well. Good times!
Armchair BEA asked a great question for us to answer about genres we love and favor…
