Armchair BEA 2013…Introductions

armchair bea

Like last year, Armchair BEA has asked us to to do an introduction post with some questions they’ve furnished…

Have you previously participated in Armchair BEA? What brought you back for another year? If you have not previously participated, what drew you to the event?

I participated last year and I enjoyed it… getting to know other bloggers, and participating each day was both fun and interesting.

What are you currently reading, or what is your favorite book you have read so far in 2013?

I have a great many favorites that I’ve read so far, so I’ll name a few of them. Hopeless by Colleen Hoover, Reckless by S.C. Stephens, Falling Into You by Jasinda Wilder, and The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski.

Tell us one non-book-related thing that everyone reading your blog may not know about you.

I have a pretty wacky sense of humor.

Which is your favorite post that you have written that you want everyone to read?

My favorite to date has to be the character interview with the Snarky Narrator from the Gabriel trilogy by Sylvain Reynard. It was an interview that Elena and I did together and we had so much fun putting it together, along with SR. It still makes me laugh whenever I read it.

If you could eat dinner with any author or character, who would it be and why?

I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again. I would love to hang out with SR for dinner because he’s smart, wicked funny and he writes brilliantly.

What literary location would you most like to visit? Why?

O my goodness…so many places I’d love to see from books…Italy from the Gabriel series, France and England from A Discovery of Witches, the places mentioned in The Da Vinci Code are the ones that come to mind right off the bat.

What is your favorite part about the book blogging community?

I love the bloggers who are supportive of each other.

Now you know a bit more about me if you’re new to Bookish Tempations 🙂

I am making plans to be in Italy in October, and want to visit places featured in Gabriel’s Inferno. I also want to stop at the town where New Moon was filmed so I can stand in the arch, where Edward stood. 🙂

Gabriel’s Inferno and Rapture is an inspiration for many of SR readers. I’m lucky to live close to TO, so after I read GI, I took a “Gabriel Tour”. In a month I’ll be in Italy visiting Florence and having a delicioso cappuccino con Elena :). I visited Tunisia a few years back (one of Star Wars filming locations) and my dream is to go to Scotland someday (and maybe meet a hot highlander :).

  3. My husband and I will be in Italy October, and part of November. Because of SR’s book, we’re celebrating our anniversary, Oct. 19th, in Florence. I love Italy and have visited the country many times. It’s where my family is from. The people are wonderful and the food cannot be beat. Love your blog! 🙂

  4. Never been to Italy, but France and England are awesome (and not just because I am from England!). I hope to retire to France some day!
    Hope you enjoy Armchair BEA!

  5. Thanks for sharing about you.
I’m afraid I’m not too familiar with the titles you mentioned, BEA is such great way of opening to other literary horizons. Thanks!

I’ll have to write down some of the titles you mentioned, I haven’t heard of some of them!
    Enjoy Armchair BEA!

I’d love to go to Italy too! I’ve been lucky enough to go to both England and France, but I never got to Italy. I haven’t heard of the Gabriel series, but I love snarky, so I’ll have to check that out 🙂
