BTT: The Ideal…

I love the topic from BTT on this one!

I want you to think about your ideal reading experience. Think about the location. (Your bed? Favorite chair? The beach? Indoors or outdoors?). Think about the sounds. (Is there music playing? Happy children playing in the background? Utter silence?) Is there a snack or beverage nearby? Are you alone or with friends/family (presumably being quiet enough for you to read in peace)? What kind of lighting is there? Are you dressed in something ultra-comfy? What’s your position? Curled up? Stretched out?

Now … describe it so that we can all feel exactly how perfect it is … and why.

Susi’s Students Review A Life Worth Living by Jennifer Probst

Happy Thursday to all!  Today’s post is a little different from my previous posts.  As some of you may know,  I am a teacher.  I work with several age groups as well as with children learning English as a Second Language.

A few weeks ago, I found this wonderful story A Life Worth Living written by the talented Jennifer Probst and read it to my students.  After reading it, I decided to have my students write their own reviews of the story.  I took the opportunity to teach them about reviews as well as ratings.  They were also introduced to Goodreads.com.  Their finished reviews were awesome!

As a proud educator, I scanned and sent their reviews to Ms. Probst.  She immediately thanked my students with a heartwarming letter.  Let me just say, they were so excited to get a letter from an author. (I was too.) 🙂

I would like to thank Tamie for letting me share a few of these reviews with all of you.

I certainly hope you enjoy them.

Finally, If you are an animal lover, I recommend this book.  *Warning- Keep tissues handy!

I gave it 5 bones!

Unfortunately for both of them, Avery ends up being in the wrong place at the wrong time and is now running for her life. But she’s not alone. She has a gorgeous DEA agent protecting her and suddenly finds herself irresistibly captivated by him. There’s only one problem. Preston carries more than his share of mental baggage, courtesy of his job. His covert missions have put him in places and situations he can barely stand to think about. Avery rocks Preston’s world because she is nothing like anyone he’s ever met and something extraordinary begins to happen between them.
