Avery has just met her hot upstairs neighbor. He’s irresistible. Tattooed. And a virgin.
Nursing student Avery Michaels wants nothing to do with dating—she’s perfectly happy single. Privy to too many of her mother’s bad decisions and even worse taste in boyfriends, all Avery can handle is a string of uncomplicated hookups whenever the mood strikes.
When she meets smoking hot tattoo artist Bennett, she wants him—for just one night. But he won’t accept a no-strings-attached arrangement. He lives by a straight-laced code of values based on his own troubled upbringing.
Bennett sees something special in Avery and he wants more from her. Way more. As Avery wrestles with her emotions for Bennett, danger and tragedy force them to open up to each other. And Avery must face the terrifying realization that she wants more from him, too.
So she needs to make a choice—let Bennett go or finally let him in.
All of you by Christina Lee has an interesting take on an old theme…the virgin. In this book the virgin in the story is the guy. Bennett is that guy and once you meet him I think you’ll fall in love with him as fast as I did. As the synopsis says he’s smokin’ hot. He’s also an artist who creates beautiful tattoos.
Avery is a nursing student who comes across as the kind of girl who just plays with guys. Non committed hookups are what she seems interested in until we learn why she avoids relationships so hard. When she and Bennett meet there’s no denying an attraction exists, but true to form Avery shies away once she learns that Bennett is still holding the V card, and isn’t willing to give it up without something more involved than casual sex.
The characters have things in common in their background, yet they’ve reacted very differently to it. The sexual tension between the two is tangible, and will have you as frustrated as they are, but it’s worth the wait as Avery and Bennett become friends first and struggle with whether an actual romance is in the cards for them. You’ll be hoping the answer is yes…just like I was.
This is an amazing story of hope…hope that you can change an empty life into one full of beautiful things. Love, empowerment, beauty, and intimacy are all things to want, and to work hard to get. Sometimes it seems easier to live a life that is devoid of those things because taking a chance on someone is often hard to do. Nobody likes to make themselves vulnerable and open to loss and heartbreak, but in this story we see once again that if we take that chance the risk is worth the struggle.
Thank you to Christina Lee for gifting us with this story and these characters. I can’t wait to read more from you.
