Tina Reviews: Bound by Wish and Mistletoe by Kat Bastion

The synopsis:

The holiday novella, Book 1.5, following the award-winning debut of Forged in Dreams and Magick in the Highland Legends Series:

Desperate to honor a life-long promise, Susanna MacEalan escapes her abusive clan with the fierce determination of never falling under the power of a man. Ever.

Aggravated by shallow-hearted pursuing lasses, Robert Brodie, commander of his clan’s elite guard, has foresworn scheming women. Forever.

When magick transforms Brodie Castle into a Christmas wonderland, the two despondent souls find solace in a most unexpected place . . . each other’s arms.

Amid a whirlwind of escalating events, Susanna’s traumatic past threatens Robert’s ability to protect the one woman meant for him. In a harrowing moment, as her fears and demons coalesce, will hope, faith, and love be enough to save them?

My review:

I’m sold! Kat proved again what an extraordinary writer she is. Forged in Dreams and Magick is the first book in the Highland Legends Series (you can find Tamie and Elena’s review HERE)

Bound by Wish and Mistletoe is a holiday novella in this series but can also be read as a stand-alone book.

The story brings us back to the thirteen century where Robert, Commander of the Brodie Clan meets Susanna, a brave and beautiful young lass who ran from the terrors of her father and his clan. Their love journey is sweet and intense. And OMG, I think I read the most sensual and erotic love scene ever – perfectly written. I assure you, you don’t want to miss it. What I loved the most in this novella is how the author inserted Christmas into a time period when this tradition was not known.

“To Clan Brodie! May we fight hard, love harder, and cherish every heart among us as we embrace what matters most during a season of giving. To Clan Brodie’s First Christmas!”

Oh and also, thank you Kat for mentioning Skorpius, I very much enjoyed seeing him again 😉 *swoon* #TeamSkorpius all the way!!

You’ll find all you need in this novella: swoon worthy characters, beautiful love story, hot sex scenes, amazing surroundings, sparkling magick and an incredible writing. The perfect Christmas present!

5 magical stars from me:)

Happy reading!

Favorite quote:

“I’ll offer you the world. If you want the sun and moon snatched down from the sky, I’ll hunt them down and bring them to you. The countless stars that glitter in the night shall become jewels adornin’ your hair. All the oceans wide will be yours to traverse, and each creature shall treat you as friend and master…”

**This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review, loved it!**
