Susi Reviews- A Sip of You by Sorcha Grace

A Sip of You

A Sip of You (The Epicurian #2) by Sorcha Grace

The undeniable chemistry between food photographer Catherine Kelley and billionaire gourmand William Lambourne has become an unquenchable thirst…

Catherine’s career in Chicago is taking off and the handsome stormy-eyed stranger who recently rocked her world has become—dare she say it?—her boyfriend. Dating a billionaire who’s a god in the bedroom and a virtuoso in the kitchen definitely has its perks. But it’s the unguarded, tender moments with William that stir Cat’s heart and reawaken her appetite for love. A weekend trip to William’s vineyard so he can face a painful loss puts their new relationship to the test. Complex and layered, William is at once passionate and sweet, but also prickly and guarded. He’s promised openness, but it becomes immediately clear that Cat’s version of honesty and his are as different as chardonnay and pinot noir. It’s hard to fault William for his secretive ways when Cat knows she’s holding back, too. As the attraction between them gets even hotter, Catherine and William must share all of their secrets before their relationship can truly begin. And little does Cat know how dangerous confronting their pasts will be. Book 2 in the The Epicurean series.

My Review

I was so excited to receive my copy of A Sip of You from the author the other day that  I immediately devoured the book.  Now, I really loved her first book in this series and was left hungry, yes hungry waiting for more William Lambourne.  Well, Sorcha did not disappoint me with this new book.  The story of William and Catherine continues just where book one leaves off.  While both characters are still dealing with losses from their past, they are trying to make their relationship work.

William continues to be the complex, sexy, wealthy, mysterious alpha male with those “stormy eyes” I loved in book one. Catherine, still independent is now willing to take her chance on this relationship. But, she finds herself struggling with trust.   A blast from her past doesn’t help the situation where trust is concerned.   Her friend Beckett, from A Taste of You is back and his behavior adds to Catherine’s trust issues.  Throughout this book, Catherine grows and learns about herself as well, which is important for her relationship with William.

Just like in A Taste of You, food plays an important role.  Food and wine that is, are seen in a new light. Off course, it helps when the wealthy William has his own winery.  Rose wine, you are my new favorite!!

As a foodie, books with food, wine and restaurants always keep me glued to the pages.  Again, Sorcha outdid herself with the way food was used in an erotic yet tasteful fashion in this story.

Catherine lands a new photography project  and I am totally looking forward to what may come of this in book 3. That new chef, hmm.  I am also looking forward to more of Beckett and his own professional endeavors.

Just like A Taste of You, A Sip of You ends with a cliffhanger.  And, what a cliffhanger it is.  William and Catherine’s relationship has grown and although much has been revealed, there is still an air of mystery in Mr. Lambourne.

From the moment I started this book to the end, I was immersed in the story. I highly recommend it and  I can’t wait to read book 3.

If you haven’t read A Taste of You, check out my review here and read it right away.

I gave A Sip of You 5 delicious and decadent stars!

I agree 100% with this review. I too am a big fan of this series and absolutely loved “A Sip of You”. I almost wanted to cry when it ended with such an amazing cliffhanger. I will be waiting not so patiently for the next installment of the sexy Mr. Lambourne and Catherine Kelly. 🙂
