The Fever series by Karen Marie Moning really had a huge impact on me in many ways, so it seemed fitting that I talk about it for my 1st Throwback Thursday post…
There were a ton of peeps reading the series at about the same time I was which was way cool. I was really kind of obsessed, but I wasn’t alone. Others were just as captivated by it as I was which led to a lot of new friendships and seemingly endless discussions on twitter.
After I read the last book I felt at a loss for days. Nothing I tried reading seemed any good, so I’d quit one book and try again. It took over a week til I found something that actually held my attention again. For me…a week is a very long time to go bookless.
If you asked me why this series had such a huge impact on me the first words out of my mouth would be Jericho Barrons. Man…what a book boyfriend. He was very different from male characters I had read before….uber alpha, enigmatic, and the reader never quite knows for a very long time if he’s a good guy or not. Hell, for the longest time the story lets you know he’s something other than just human but it’s all pretty vague, and I suppose that’s one of the reasons the story was so compelling to me.
The first three books are all about the UST between Jericho and Mac (MacKayla), and then…finally in book four…HOLY CRAP!!!
You need to keep in mind this is NOT a traditional romance series in any way. It’s great paranormal/fantasy with a side helping of romance, but it’s one of my all time favorites, and I highly recommend it. Just be careful…it’s been known to be highly addictive 😉
This series was the first thing I ever reviewed way back in 2011. Whoa!
Click on any of the book covers to visit Amazon.
There’s a book bundle available as well.
Now that I’ve shared it with you I want to reread the whole series!
Thanks for joining me 🙂
