It’s Annie this week here! I love when she shares what she’s reading that might not be the norm for some of us. To balance things out, she’s reminding us of who we all love and why..
*locks all the doors and windows* Sooooo… Here’s the thing, I have two Bella/Jasper stories for you. WAIT! Don’t leave. Stay and I’ll give you a treat at the end, okay?
KB: I trust you completely Annie. LOL
Honestly, I’m not sure how I ended up reading either of these. I am an Edward girl through and through. It just happened, and they both left me feeling shocked that I liked them. First is a shorty, six chapters.
Get Me to You by chicklette.
Summary: Pet names and Pop Tarts. Sunday mornings with Etta and Ella. Cibola. Candymouth. You finally realize the truth. What if it’s too late? M for drinking, drug use, sex and effing language.
Get me to you is a high school fic. Bella and Jasper are good friends. She wants Edward, he wants Alice. Then one day, there’s more. You guys, I just don’t know. When I started reading, in the back of my mind, I kept thinking that Edward would get his act together, but eventually I didn’t want that to happen. Is it the good writing? The characters? Bella & Jasper are so sweet together.
Excerpt from chapter 1:
Sunday mornings with my little Bella-trix. Both of us sleeping late, hiding from daylight, hiding from our friends because while the rest of them might get fucked up and fuck, this was more than that and I don’t mind saying that I need this time with this girl to set me straight and get me through the week.
Sunday mornings were for playing music and making love, slow and sweet until she flushed and made that little sound of surprise. Until she opened her eyes and smiled at me, that candymouth smile that a lesser man would try to own but that I was happy just to hide in.
Give it a try and see what you think.
Spoiler: I love who Edward ends up with. Genius.
Next is a one shot and it pushes on one of my hard limits. I can’t tell you without spoiling the story, sorry.

It’s moving and sad and a little hopeful. Not my usual thing at all but really, really, really good. It’s short. You should read it.
Still with me?
Here’s your treat: My favorite part of Midnight Sun.
If you don’t know what that is or haven’t read it, then stop and go, right now [KB: Honestly, if you haven’t read this yet, then why are you even here…] to Stephenie Meyer’s site http://stepheniemeyer.com/midnightsun.html and bask in the glory that is Edward’s POV. (P.S. SM You need to finish this. You owe us. Big time.) [KB: Seriously, woman…]
I owed it to her to do the right thing now; I could no longer pretend that I was only in danger of loving this girl.
After all, it really didn’t matter if I left, because Bella could never see me the way I wished she would. Never see me as someone worthy of love.
Could a dead, frozen heart break? It felt like mine would.
“Edward,” Bella said.
I froze, staring at her unopened eyes.
Had she woken, caught me here? She looked asleep, yet her voice had been so clear…
She sighed a quiet sigh, and then moved restlessly again, rolling to her side—still fast asleep and dreaming.
“Edward,” she mumbled softly.
She was dreaming of me.
Could a dead, frozen heart beat again? It felt like mine was about to.
“Stay,” she sighed. “Don’t go. Please…don’t go.”
She was dreaming of me, and it wasn’t even a nightmare. She wanted me to stay with her, there in her dream.
I struggled to find words to name the feelings that flooded through me, but I had no words strong enough to hold them. For a long moment, I drowned in them.
When I surfaced, I was not the same man I had been.
My life was an unending, unchanging midnight. It must, by necessity, always be midnight for me. So how was it possible that the sun was rising now, in the middle of my midnight?
Annie: *dreamy sigh* Oh Edward, sweetheart, I am yours forever and ever. Can you forgive me?
Edward: There’s nothing to forgive, baby. Let me sweep you off your feet and carry you away.
Annie: Go for it, dude!
KB: It’s totally normal to have that on my iPad at all times, to read whenever the mood strikes, right? You want to read THE best thing Ms. Meyer’s ever written. It’s pure perfection. *happy sigh*
Happy Friday! Annie
And because I can…
What are you guys reading that is “outside of the box”?? We want to know…
