In this follow-up to Clipped Wings, the emotional love story continues between Hayden and Tenley; two young people who desperately want to love and be loved but are afraid to completely let go of their pasts.
In the wake of losing Tenley Page, tattooist Hayden Stryker’s tumultuous past is haunting him. Plagued by nightmares about the murder of his parents, Hayden reaches out again to Tenley. Having run from the man she doesn’t believe she deserves, Tenley finally lays her guilt to rest. Despite their intense physical attraction, Hayden and Tenley struggle to repair their fragile emotional connection. As Hayden gets closer to the truth, he must find a way to reconcile his guilt over his parents’ death in order to keep the woman who finally cracked his armor, and found her way into his heart.
If you can’t tell that we are HUGE fans of Helena Hunting’s books and Hayden Stryker, then you’ve been missing out, for sure!! Earlier this week, Elena and I decided to share our reviews for Inked Armor in one post, check that out here. Tamie shared her thoughts here, in an amazing review. Gel got inspired with an Illustrated Temptations post here.
Music is a big part of my life, and certain books really effect me. I love when characters or a book will inspire me to put my music library on while reading or just stay with me after I’m done. Here are some songs that came to mind while reading or made me think of the book and characters when I wasn’t reading about them.
This song by Counting Crows is on my top 10 favorite songs ever list. When this song pops up on my “shuffle” I never fast-forward. I’m going to steal a line from Debb. I love this song like a person. Inked Armor seems like the perfect book for it.
It wouldn’t be a musical post without at least one song from Radiohead. For some reason, I feel like Hayden or Lisa would have this band playing in one of the private tattoo rooms at work.
I am totally addicted to the new Coldplay album Ghost Stories right now. Chris Martin wrote the perfect song called Ink. The song is cool and the words are perfect.
This last song is the theme running through both books Clipped Wings and Inked Armor, I think. We all need Redemption in our lives at some point. The band is Strange Familiar.
Thank you Simon & Schuster for letting us participate in the blog tour for Inked Armor!!
