Yay!! It’s Friday and that means Fan Fiction here at BT! Michelle is back from Nashville and wants to share what she’s been reading lately. Her inbox has exploded with updates, so let’s check out her recs.
I always love when Michelle gets excited about what she’s reading…
My inbox is my happy place!
Since I’m a big Outlander fan, I took a wee break from fic to re-read the first book to get my Jamie and Claire mojo ready for Episode 101: Sassenach. Tamie posted a great spoiler free review here. I do believe that Jamie is right up there with Edward as one of my favorite ‘book boyfriends’. [KB: I love Sam/Jamie and have watched the first episode multiple times, because I’m crazy like that.]
But just taking a small break from fic means your inbox gets really happy with all the story updates! I’ve got a lot of reading to make up.
Oh Edward, you know these kinds of statements just make Bella do the exact opposite. Will you never learn? “Alice hasn’t seen your future. You still have a chance. You could leave now. Avoid this whole thing.” Really Ooza? I’ve read your fics before, and I just know something big is going to happen. I’m afraid I’m going to need tissues for the next chapter. Malice in the Garden might be a sequel, but the writing just gets better and better. And the hint of a happy ever after with Ooza determining their fate leaves me biting my nails.
And Hallelujah…. A Broken Hallelujah updated! I’ve missed this story so much. While Virginia May might take a bit to update, it’s so worth it. It’s one of those fics you just can’t quit. You really, really want them to find their way back to each other. Edward’s motto is: “One day at a time.” And the latest chapter proves that communication is the key to forgiveness.
I do believe this last update is going to kill me. I can’t believe Brodeurgirl30 left us with: “I’m sorry Bella, but I have to break my promise to you.” Lost and Found is still keeping me guessing with each update how these two can possibly have a happy ending. BRACE YOURSELF: This might be one of those fics where a happy ending just isn’t in the cards for these two. (Someone remind me why I read angst??)
I think everyone has been waiting for This Side of the Equator to update! Jaxington gives us an unforgettable Christmas in this new chapter. Let’s just say, Edward and Bella get busted! How’s that for a cliffie??
New reads that I promise to read after I catch up on updates.
Author’s Summary: “Bella, I’m not perfect.” “I’ve loved perfect before, and he broke me anyway.” (A “Twilight”/”Remember Me” crossover.)
I’ve decided to put my big girl panties on and add Infinite Visibility by TheFicChick back on my reading list. I’m all for angst, but I got freaked out by all the freak-outs on twitter each time this story updated. This time I will not chicken out. (Repeats motto a few times.) But come on!! If the word ‘doomed’ is in the banner, I just know I’m going to need lots of chocolate to get through this one. [KB: I too have been eyeing this one for awhile, and am worried about the angst. I’ll bit the bullet if Michelle does…]
Summary: Prompted by a feeling, Alice leads the Cullens back to Forks, but ten years is a long time in a brief human life. Edward’s wish for Bella to have a nice human life seems to have been fulfilled. Bella believes that once she loved a remarkable boy, but in the end he didn’t love her. Can Edward convince her she is wrong?
Wow Michelle, I think I’m going to drop what I’m reading and start all of these, like right now. 🙂
Have a great weekend everyone!!
