Five Friday Favorites: Films

This weeks topic for Five Friday Favorites is films…

Holy crap! This one took a lot of thought because there are many movies that I consider to be favorites, but the ones I chose are those that I have watched repeatedly and never tire of. All but one of these were adapted from books. I won’t try and put these into any sort of order…

Forrest Gump~ Written by Winston Groom, the book was originally published in 1986 and the film was released in 1994.

Field of Dreams~ This film was adapted from the book, Shoeless Joe by W.P. Kinsella which was first published in 1982. The movie came out in 1989.

Titanic~ Released in 1997

Twilight saga~ Based on books written by Stephanie Meyer. Book one was originally published in 2005, and then re-released in 2006. The first film was released in 2008 and the last in 2012.

Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen was first published way back in 1811. The book from the adaptation (with Emma Thompson) which is my personal favorite published in 2002. The movie released in 1995.

Can you narrow down your favorite films to just five?

Sure I can narrow them down!
When Harry Met Sally — I watch this every New Year’s Eve.
Moonspinners — It’s a Disney film with Hayley Mills. It’s cheesy, but it makes me feel 14 again.
French Kiss — Love Meg Ryan and she is adorable in this! Kevin Kline isn’t too shabby either. His fake French accent is sexy.
Funny Girl — gotta throw a musical in here and I love Babs!
Pride and Prejudice — the PBS version with Colin Firth. ::sigh::

    No, I don’t think I could……………but “Twilight” saga is definitely number 1!

I’d probably then say “The Omen” (1976 version with Gregory Peck)

“Bram Stoker’s Dracula” …………LOVE Gary Oldman in that role. Best Dracula yet.

Too many to chose from, but I do love “When Harry met Sally” and “French Kiss”. Kevn Kline is too cute.:)

    Good choices Ladies!
