Five Friday Favorites: Book Recommendations

This was a topic from Five Friday Favorites a few weeks ago…Favorite Books I Was Recommended.

I have to confess that I don’t always remember who recommended a certain book or author to me, but I definitely remember if it became a favorite. Here are five recommendations I received and am eternally grateful for.

1) The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon

2) The Fever series by Karen Marie Moning

3) The Twilight series by Stephenie Meyers

4) The Thoughtless series by S.C. Stephens

5) Easy by Tammara Webber

What 5 books did someone recommend to you that became favorites?

I loved Easy. Still on the fence about the Thoughtless series. Haven’t been able to pick up book three yet.

I know lots of peeps who are conflicted about the Thoughtless series, but I truly loved it even tho it was high angst.
      Maybe someday you’ll give book 3 a try. 🙂

  4. Karen says:

    1. Try by Ella Frank
    2. Mud vein by Tarryn Fisher
    3. Empathy by Ker Dukey
    4. Just Human by Kerry Heavens
    5. Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan
I totally loved Thoughtless. I could swap any of the above with anything by Colleen Hoover, anything by Alessandra Torre, anything by Tiffany Reisz. Everything I read is recommended either through blogs like yours (love it) or via Goodreads.

Since I’m the book whore in my group of friends, I’m often doing the recommending. Most of my books come to me through sites like this, other book blogs, or other bookish people I’ve met through social media.
However, my cousin did recommend Outlander to me a couple years ago. I just started the series this summer and am just about to finish Voyager.

Other book series that I’ve loved because of recommendations/talk on line:

Slammed and Hopeless by Colleen Hoover
Flat Out Love by Jessica Park
    Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
The Breathing Series by Rebecca Donovan
