Thirsty Thursdays: Most Romantic Book Setting…

This weeks Thirsty Thursday topic is: Most romantic book setting. As someone who adores traveling to and experiencing new places, I appreciate that books allow me the opportunity to do that when my bank account won’t.

I’m going to share several favorites with you…both old and new.

Because I’m originally from the Bay Area in California I have a soft spot for any books set in or near San Francisco. It really is a magical place and has lots to offer as far as romance goes, so Rusty Nailed by Alice Clayton gets major points for it’s locale.

The best vacation I ever had so far was a trip to France, and to me it is definitely an ultimate destination for romance. Sweet Filthy Boy by Christina Lauren takes us to Paris for quite a bit of the book, and I loved it!

One of my dream vacations is to go to Italy…anywhere in Italy really, but thanks to Gabriel’s Inferno, Gabriel’s Rapture, and Gabriel’s Redemption by Sylvain Reynard, one of my top choices would be to Florence. Whenever I do rereads of this series I always find myself googling places that are mentioned and the swoon factor is off the charts…hopefully someday I’ll get to experience them in person. I also have to give a shout out to the city of Toronto which is also featured. My vacation there was certainly enhanced as I visited many of the places mentioned in GI.

I’ve wanted to visit New Orleans for a long time, but haven’t made it there yet. I loved visiting through The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski.

One more place I’d flove to visit is Scotland, and two of my favorite series are set there. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon and the entire On Dublin Street series by Samantha Young. The accent alone is verra romantic 😉

There are so many more for me that I just might have to revisit this subject again at a later time. What about you?!? What are some of your most romantic book settings?

Very true! Books take you places, even while sitting still! 🙂
I like Nadine Christian’s romances that take place on the Pitcairn Islands.

I loved Florence. It’s more beautiful in person. I can’t wait to go back when The Raven comes out. 😊

Probably Ireland… I read Nora Roberts Irish Trilogy: Jewels of the Sun, Tears of the Moon, Heart of the Sea (Irish Jewels Trilogy) a very long time ago, and it just sparked in me this desire to go there! I can reread these books over and over 🙂

I haven’t read the Gabriel books, only the original fanfiction… but that was really good! Loved it!! Definitely made Italy seem like the place to be! Italy has always called to me… maybe some day 😉
