Cade and Hannah have a scorching reunion…

Another planeload of passengers flowed through the glass automatic doors, none of them Cade. About to explode with anticipation, I glanced up at the blue electronic arrival boards. His flight number indicated the plane had landed at 7:32 p.m., which was ten minutes ago.

When a sea of people parted around me, I swung my attention back through the doors.

There he stood in the middle of a moving crowd, imposing with his broad stature, dark hair, and intense blue eyes. His gaze locked onto me, expression fierce, like he’d done battle on the ground, across every state that separated us, just to get to me.

His long strides brought him through the security gate within seconds.

I covered the miniscule distance remaining between us and jumped into his arms with collision force. Without so much as a grunt, he absorbed the impact and spun us around as he gripped me tight. He held me in his arms and moved to the side, whisking us out of the way.

“Damn, I missed the fuck out of you,” he growled into my hair as his overnight bag hit the floor with a thud.

I laughed, kissing up the side of his neck, then inhaled deeply, breathing in his spicy scent. I mumbled in between my onslaught of kisses. “Any other swear words you’d like to fit into that sentence?”

He planted me on the ground and kissed me hard. Then he softened the touch of his lips, teasing and coaxing. I moaned, falling lax against him. All too soon, he pulled away.

What was the question? I furrowed my brow, trying to remember anything before that devastating kiss.

The tenor of his soft chuckle came seconds before he kissed my nose, then picked up his bag. “No. Talk is overrated. Physical.” To punctuate his words, he spun me around and urged me forward toward the parking garage. “Home. Bed. Me lost in your body. From the moment we hit the sheets till well after sunrise.”

My body ached at the decadent thought. I glanced over my shoulder and caught his gaze. It blasted back at me, intense, primal. Even so, I couldn’t stop myself from teasing him. “Not lost in my body the very second we walk in the door?”

His nostrils flared and he lunged forward, shoving the door to the parking garage open ahead of us. “Careful, Maestro. I’m a starving man. There are a dozen places to take you between here and your bed.”

I threaded my hand into his in the darkened garage, leaning against his solid frame. Heady excitement pounded through my veins. Everything about Cade seemed to have magnified. An indescribable raw edge of danger simmered just beneath his surface, as if his every action and word was barely controlled, nearly uncontainable.

And I’d never been more turned on.

On a slow inhale, I tempted the beast. “Like…”

A blur of motion took my breath away. Pushed, crowded, spun around, I found myself pressed against a dusty concrete wall in a hidden, shadowed alcove, bent forward at the hips. The sudden action was rough and thrilling. Yet every move he’d made protected me, held me. Even as he’d guided and controlled me.

I closed my eyes as his bag thudded hard on the ground. My breath caught at the sound of buttons ripping open on the fly of his jeans. The warm sides of his leather jacket fell forward around me. Strong hands slid up my hips, pulling the thin fabric of my dress with it. “This what you want, Maestro? To take you right here?” His thumbs tugged at the sides of my lace thong—but he hesitated. Waited for permission.

What he tempted me with was dirty, quick and carnal.

Filled with demand.

And something as vital to me as my next breath of oxygen.

I swallowed hard, nodding, unable to find my voice. Because while the shocking turn of events had gone abruptly physical, there was more. A tidal wave of emotion swelled beneath the stormy surface.

It sizzled in the air, electric.

“Say it,” he growled low.

With a gentle scrape over my hips, the lace of my thong edged downward. Seconds later, his cock, hard and hot, slid ever so slowly between my legs. But he stopped just short of where I needed him to touch. Then he eased away. Damn.

My body trembled with need. I pressed back, desperate for more. But he gripped my hips hard, holding me immobile.

With measured pressure, he slid forward again. Paused once more.

The torment was intoxicating. And maddening. Ache spiraled inside of me, winding so tight, I risked imploding from the staggering pressure.

“Yes…please,” I breathed, begging.
