Although we normally showcase romance on Bookish, I was excited when Lucy Fenton agreed to let us share an excerpt from Superstition which is a gothic horror with some romantic elements. Enjoy!

Blogiversary Blowout: J. A. Redmerski Shares her Love for Luke Everett and Her Favorite Scene
So here is something awesome and new from J. A. Redmerski! A little something about her new book The Moment of Letting Go that will release on April 14, 2015.
Check it out!
-Favorite Scene & What I Love Most About Luke-
I really enjoyed writing this book, and there were several scenes that stuck with me long after I wrote them, but there’s one in particular that stands out for me. The moment when Sienna finds out about something Luke has been holding inside and when she finds him alone in his house, was an emotional scene to write. Here’s this gorgeous, playful guy with a heart of gold and who always seems to have a smile on his face, showing another side of him that really just kind of broke my heart.
Luke is a special guy—he’s caring and sweet, mischievous and adventurous, charming and sexy, and I loved getting inside of his head. These are all things I love about Luke Everett, but I think what I love the most about him is that, despite the secret he’s keeping and the lifestyle he leads because of it, he’s a guy with his head on straight and knows what he wants out of life.
I based Luke’s ‘lifestyle’ on something that I’ve always had a deep fascination for—maybe I’m drawn to it because it’s so terrifying—but could never do myself.
In THE MOMENT OF LETTING GO Sienna Murphy finally lands her dream job. It’s everything she’s ever wanted…or so she thought. When she’s sent on a business trip to Hawaii, she meets Luke Everett, a guy who makes her want to forget all her responsibilities and give in to the promise happiness. As their passion grows, Luke makes Sienna start to question whether the carefully constructed life she leads is really as perfect as it seems.
This is totally something to look forward to!
