Blog Tour Review: When Me Met (Anthology) by A.L. Jackson, Molly McAdams, Tiffany King, and Christina Lee

Made with Repix (

Today’s premiere New Adult authors combine their talents to tell four original stories from inside one house.

When four girls decide to live off campus together as juniors at a college in Michigan, they expect it to be their best year yet. Little do they know, it’s a year that will change the rest of their lives.

Unable to live down her ex-boyfriend’s deception, Misha is determined to avoid betrayal. When, the new guy next door, Darryn starts to get under her skin, her defenses start to crumble. But trusting Darryn seems impossible, especially if he’s not sure he can trust himself.

SAVING ME by Molly McAdams
On the outside, Indy is always ready for a party—but inside she’s breaking. Kier makes a weekly routine of saving the girl next door from herself on Saturday nights… but when will she be ready to remember him on Sunday morning?

FOULING OUT by Tiffany King
Working at a sports bar, Courtney has become a pro at sidestepping propositions from arrogant jocks—which makes her a more elusive catch for campus basketball star Dalton than he expected. But when he falls for the saucy waitress, Dalton will have to rethink his game plan to prove he’s not the jerk Courtney expects.

In order to ace her fashion internship, Chloe must team up with local college dropout and set builder, Blake—much to her chagrin. But after some “hands-on” experience, Chloe will have to ask herself if Blake factors into her carefully laid plans…

I thoroughly enjoyed this anthology from Christina Lee, Tiffany King, A.L. Jackson, and Molly McAdams. The stories are unique to each of the author’s, but there is continuity because it centers around 4 college girls, Misha, Indy, Courtney, and Chloe, who share a house near the campus in Michigan.

Behind Her Eyes- A.L. Jackson: The first story is about Misha. She was publicly humiliated by the man-boy who lived next door…the one she trusted with her heart and her body. She went home after it happened with the intention of not returning, but to her credit she does. Darryn has moved in while she was away and although there’s an attraction between the two of them, Misha is justifiably afraid to get involved with someone new, so she has to decide if he might be worth taking a chance on. Darryn knows what happened to her, but pretends he doesn’t because he can see the fear and shame she carries with her. He wants to be the one who takes that away and replaces it with smiles and hope.

Saving Me- Molly McAdams: This is Indy’s story. She too was betrayed by the man she thought she was going to marry someday. To make things even worse she’s also been rejected by her own parents. Devastated, she chooses the road of booze and boys to try to take away the desperate pain she’s in. Enter Kier, the quiet guy next door who tries to take care of her  when she goes too far, but Indy never remembers. Slowly they begin to get to know each other and Kier takes his time building trust…never pushing for more than what Indy is able to give. Towards the end we find out that Kier has quite a story himself. He was someone very different in his past…not the good guy at all, but he was the kind who was able to become the very best. This is a great story of redemption.

Fouling Out– Tiffany King: Courtney is the 3rd roommate who works part-time at the local sports bar even tho she has a strong dislike for the jock type. During middle school her childhood friend, Dalton, left her behind, so when he shows up at the bar she’s not exactly receptive. Basketball is Dalton’s life, but if he wants that life to include Courtney he’s going to have to prove that she’s just as important to him as chasing his dream is. The good news is that he’s more than up for the challenge. He works at getting to know her again which pays off, and along the way she realizes that it doesn’t have to be an either or type of relationship. Dalton is capable of loving her without giving up basketball.

Beneath Your Layers– Christina Lee: The final story centers on Chloe who is the ultimate planner. She knows what she wants and how she wants to get there, and nobody is going to sidetrack her. Especially not Blake who dropped out of the theater and design program and went to work in construction. (The reader learns why he did before she does.) His aunt owns the shop where Chloe works and is getting an internship credit in her fashion design studies. Blake in turn thinks Chloe is a bit of a snob. The two are forced to spend time together as part of a project for Blake’s aunt. They begin to realize that just maybe the preconceived ideas they had about each other aren’t at all accurate. Lucky for us…sparks begin to fly between the two of them. O yeah… I loved how they learn about each other playing Truth or Dare, and you will too 😉 Sometimes all the planning in the world means nothing…if you find the right someone.

I really had a great time reading all four of the stories, getting to know each of the girls and experiencing each of their different journeys. I’m giving a high recommendation for you to add this to your TBR list, or even better… to grab it when it comes out tomorrow.
