Making Up For Monday: I’m Grateful I Read…

making up for monday

Which books are you most grateful you read this year and why?

Honestly, I’m grateful for any book I read and love, but there were some real stand outs for me…as there usually are, so I’ll mention several of those rather than list the 90+ books that are showing on my Goodreads.

The Clipped Wings series by Helena Hunting– Even tho my first reaction as to the why was…Well, Hayden…duh, it went way beyond just him. The story, the writing, the secondary characters, and everything else just blew me away. There are just not enough superlatives for me to use when talking about this series. Perfection!

Breakable by Tammara Webber– I have so much gratitude that Tammara wrote this book because, Easy, was and forever will be high on my list of forever favorites. To get Lucas’ back story and his POV from that amazing story was truly a gift. It was everything I’d hoped it would be and then some!

Whisper To Me by Christina Lee– The entire Between Breaths series has been wonderful, but this book is my favorite. Kai is divine, and Rachel is pretty damn awesome too. I got completely caught up in their story, and I just didn’t want it to end. The writing was superb, and the heat was blistering. Book crush status for sure on this one.

It’s really hard for me to choose between Maybe Someday, and Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover, so I won’t. I absolutely loved both of them…the kind of love where you just want to hug the books to your heart and never let go. I could go on and on about the stellar writing, and the emotional journey which Colleen always takes me on…suffice to say that I will read anything this woman writes…happily.

Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan– This was a book that got a ton of buzz on twitter and everywhere else…deservedly so. I was late to the party in reading it, but once I did I was talking it up just as much as anybody. It’s unique and fresh, and just a really beautiful story that touched my heart.

I’ve read other books that really belong here too but this is where I’m stopping. I would recommend all of these books if you haven’t read them yet. 5+ bright and shining stars to each!

What books are on your gratitude list so far this year?

I’m grateful for Archer’s Voice, too! Such a great book. I also enjoyed “Monster in His Eyes” and “Torture in her Soul.” And I’m grateful for my own series of romantic suspense novels “Through His Eyes” and “Through His Touch” and for all of my readers!
