Teaser Tuesday with Elena (12/9)

Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teaser:

“Jagger is a really good guy, and you could have ruined him. You would have ruined him if I hadn’t stepped in.”

~ from Eyes Turned Skyward by Rebecca Yarros, chapter 12.

Eyes Turned Skyward came out yesterday and I immediately started reading it. I have to say I already love it. Rebecca Yarros is a truly gifted writer. You can purchase it on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

What is your Teaser Tuesday this week? 🙂

  1. Mary Jo Toth says:

She took out another sketch book from her backpack. The coiled end caught on a pair of her panties and they went flying, hitting Nick square in the chest.

I’m reading Scenes From The City: A Knitting In The City Wintertime Surprise by Penny Reid. It’s an anthology of follow-up stories to her Knitting In The City series, which begins with the book Neanderthal Seeks Human. You have to read the series to enjoy the anthology, but it’s an awesome series — especially if you’re looking for a change from dark and angst-filled reads. These books are funny, sweet, and sexy, with quirky characters. From Scene 4: Beauty and the Beard:

“I felt his breath against me, and I shivered, my whole person taut with unbearable anticipation, fueled by months of sexy, dirty, unladylike fantasies. He lowered his mouth to my apex, and I saw a flash of pink tongue just before Drew administered a slow, sensual lick to my favorite girl parts.”

  3. Debi says:

“Kingsley remembered his sudden intake of air as a viciously strong hand clamped down onto his neck…the bark of the tree trunk burning in his back…the smell of the evergreens around him, so potent that even thirty years later he still grew aroused whenever he inhaled the scent of pine.” This is from Tiffany Reisz’ The Prince: The Original Sinners Book 3.
