Elena’s Book Crushes: Moses from The Law of Moses by Amy Harmon

Hey all! This is my first post of 2015 and I wanted to talk to you about Moses from The Law of Moses by Amy Harmon, one of my book crushes of 2014.

My Moses: Lamonte Goode

Why I love Moses:

I love Moses because he’s so different from all the other characters I’ve read about. He’s very special in several ways, and If you haven’t met him yet, I want you to find out yourselves why he’s so special…I love the way he loves Georgia and how they give themselves to each other.

Beautiful Moses Quotes:

“Georgia’s eyes. Georgia’s hair. Georgia’s smile. Georgia’s personality. Georgia’s kisses.”

“If I were to paint you, I would use every color.”

“I turned, letting her catch me. And I caught her too, wrapping my arms around her so tight that the space between us became space around us, space above us, but not space inside us.”

Have you read the book? Have you met the wonderful Moses? Let me know in the comments.

  1. Jen S. says:

I read this over the holidays and like every other Amy Harmon book I’ve read (and I’ve read them all), I LOVED it!

  2. Karen says:

I thought it was amazing. I cried just about all the way through it. I haven’t found my Moses yet. Tyson Beckford may be, but I picture Moses a bit lighter skinned and younger too.

  3. Karen says:

I’ve found my Moses after a little googling. He’s called Willy Monfret. He is perfect.
