Way Back Wednesday is a Book Meme created by A Well Read Woman with the aim to write mini book reviews on books read in the past, that left a lasting impression.

I think the book that really stays with me up to this moment and for the rest of my life is the Gabriel Series by Sylvain Reynard. I love how it was written. *cough* Snarky Narrator *cough* I love Julia, most of all I love Professor Emerson. Don’t we all? 😉
These are some of my favorite scenes…
book 1 – Gabriel’s Inferno
book 2 – Gabriel’s Rapture
book 3 – Gabriel’s Redemption
Believe me, I’ve read it a lot of times, over and over.
It’s sweeter the second time around…

Thank you so much for this look back. I love this series. It’s been awhile since I read it. Gabriel’s Redemption wrapped the series up in a beautiful red hot bow. Professor Emerson had so many “swoon-worthy” moments. He is the perfect combination of good, bad, and “Oh, so bad”. Julia changed and grew so much throughout the series, and was holding her own, by the end. LOVED IT!!!!!!

Ah……..Professor Emerson. How do I lust after thee? Let me count the ways…………..;0
I LITERALLY just finished reading “Gabriel’s Redemption on Monday; yes, two days ago. I’m horrible, I know. I started reading it as “The University of Edward Masen” when it was FF and have just completed the trilogy. I wanted to hurry up so I can get to The Prince and The Raven. Can’t wait! But thank you for this little trip down memory lane. Professor Emerson can visit any time he wants. And Spring Roll? SO FUCKING CUTE!

I truly love this series. Nothing else compares to Sylvain Reynard’s brilliant writing. Gabriel and Julianne will live on in our hearts and minds like Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet. Thanks, Gel, for highlighting these memorable scenes.

What remarkable timing, as I am reading Gabriel’s Rapture yet again…I cannot get enough of SR’s brilliant. compassionate and thoughtful writing. I am actually finishing rereading the series before jumping into his latest work…holding onto these beautifully written characters and savoring every second of his sublime writing! Many thanks for sharing these highlights and for promoting Sylvain Reynard’s work!
