My favorite guy celebrated his birthday this week!! I just adore Robert Pattinson, but I bet you already knew that about me. LOL Being his #1 fan, I couldn’t pass the chance to do my own kind of celebrating.
Since we are into books around here, I thought I would talk about some of my favorite book characters that my Rob has portrayed perfectly on the big screen.
First up, Cedric Diggory from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
I remember watching an interview with Rob about playing this character, and he mentions that Cedric is someone he would have hated in school. LOL Seriously, he is soooo cute and young in this role. I would meet him in the prefix bathroom to look at his egg any time. LOL
The scene at the end with Harry and Cedric’s father sobbing over Cedric still gets me every time…

Georges Duroy in Bel Ami
I read the book before the movie came out, and I was totally rooting for Georges by the end. I loved his tenacity to pick himself up and keep on going. Rob in period costume is divine. I might actually like the scenes when he’s not in costume more though…*be still my heart*

Jacob Jankowski in Water for Elephants
Seriously loved this book, and I adore Rob in this role. The author is so sweet and funny. If you love animals then you will love this book and the movie was beautiful. It did change my perspective on circuses and animal rights.

Edward Cullen in the Twilight series
Last but most definitely not least, Edward Anthony Mason Cullen is of course still my favorite, for a number of reasons. The movie introduced me to Rob and I haven’t been the same since. I still have such fond memories of my first time reading Twilight. When the DVD came out, I watched it for months on my days off. I especially love watching Rob play piano as Edward and the behind the scenes interviews.
Rob played Edward perfectly in my book, but my personal favorite is Eclipse Edward. Edward goes through quite the transformation in the series, even though the focus is on Bella.
Rob deserves all of the best and I know that his career will just keep growing, because he is a true talent. I love the direction he is going with his role choices, and am so excited to see what he will do next.
