Musing Mondays…Strangest and Crazy Good…

Where is the strangest place you’ve ever read a book? OR… Where is the strangest place you’ve ever found a crazy-good book, unexpectedly?

I sat and thought about this for a while, and I don’t really think anyplace I’ve read would be considered strange. Movie Theater before the movie starts is really the best I could come up with. Strangest place I ever found a crazy-good  book unexpectedly was in a bowling alley. Someone left it behind with a note that said…”Take it if you want, then pass it on in the same way.” That’s how I discovered Janet Evanovich years ago. I took it home, read it, loved it, then left it for someone to find in a restaurant.

What about you?

I would say the strangest place I read a book was at a bar. Me and my girls had gone out and I don’t drink I’m always the designated driver, so while they were drinking I was reading, and we were sitting at the bar. They were a little peeved at me and told me to put away the KIndle more than once, but hey if they were having fun drinking I was having a blast reading.

The strangest place I’ve ever read the book was a racetrack. My husband and our kids went to an outdoor dirt track, for a big car race. It was very crowded, and I took my I-pad, got comfortable, and never looked up. People were staring at me, but I didn’t care. I was having fun, with my family, and finishing a good book. What could be better?
