Sundays In Bed With…All Things Christian Grey

Happy Sunday!

It’s been all about Christian Grey for me the last several days…

It started on Thursday when Grey was released. I’ll share my thoughts on that in another post, but suffice to say it was definitely emotional and intense for the moment…in the best way possible.

Once I finished I felt the need to do an immediate reread of Fifty Shades Darker. I don’t know if I’ve ever shared that FSD is my favorite of the original trilogy. That’s a real oddity for me because usually it’s the first or the last book in a series which is closest to my heart. In fact, it may be the only time that’s occurred. Anyways, once I reached the end I began Fifty Shades Freed. I’m about 3/4 through it now. If I haven’t had enough of a Christian fix then I guess I’ll listen to Grey, since I purchased the audible copy as well. Yup…I’m completely Greycessed right now.

There are characters for all readers who stand out in such a way that it’s just impossible to ever really get enough. Most of mine are the guys…my forever favorite book boyfriends, and Christian is and probably always will be in my top 3. I think part of what makes him such a memorable character for me personally is because he was just so different from any other guy I’d read before. I’m not just talking about his kinky fuckery though that’s certainly provocative and arousing. I think it’s more about his journey from the person he was to the person he becomes. It’s all the issues, all the discoveries, all the challenges, all the changes he undergoes.

I could never describe Christian Grey in a word, or a sentence. He’s too much for that, and maybe that’s yet another reason why he will always have a very special and unforgettable place in my heart.

I am so grateful to have all of the original books to read over and over. I’m grateful to have a new book…his book…to treasure along with the others. So, now I’m going to go back to spending a little Β more time with him.

Christian Grey. That pretty much says it all πŸ™‚

I’m currently in a Christian bubble too. I started rereading Darker right after Grey. πŸ™‚

I agree about Christian, and right now I am listening to Grey on audible books, and let me tell you……..omg, it is beyond amazing. There is something about hearing his voice…….or imagining that its his voice that just takes it to another level altogether……..

It’s good to hear that I’m not the only one obsessed with Christian Grey! I’ve read the trilogy five times! I have the books that were all signed by E. L. James and I have them on my IPad. I re read Freed before I received Grey and started Grey when it was delivered to my IPad. I love that man, and I love the new book. Darker is also my favorite. I will never get tired of reading these books!

I’m also Grey obsessed. Here and on PInterest. πŸ™‚ I’m reading and listening to Grey now and loving it. Hating all the early reviews from the complainers saying they wished Grey had never been published. Obviously, it wasn’t written for THEM. It was written for US! Freed is the best of the three books and I’m anxious for the film. If you like complicated male characters, I do wish you’d try my own — Levi Wolfe in my Mind’s Eye books. He was inspired by Mr. Grey and I do believe I’ve done him proud!
