Musing Mondays: Living on the Edge…

Do you read in the water (bathtub, pool, etc)? Why, or why not?

I do actually read while I’m taking a bubble bath and drinking a good glass of wine. It’s one of my favorite things to do. Yes, I have on a few occasions dropped the book I was reading into the water, but fortunately I have pretty quick reflexes so I’ve never really damaged one. I’m a bit more careful when it’s my kindle. I hold it to the side so it’s never really in danger of hitting the water. I’ve certainly read by the pool in a lounge chair, but I don’t really remember a time when I’ve taken a book into the pool.

What about you? I know some people won’t take their books or reading devices anywhere near water. I guess I like living on the edge 😉

I too like to read while in the tub with lots of bubbles and a good red wine… being in Florida reading by the pool is a given… But never in the pool… Reading while out on a boat is also a great time….:)

My husband likes to bass fish, so I take my ipad, on the boat, and read, while he fishes. I used to read in the tub, but then I had kids, and I was lucky to grab a shower, without someone banging on the bathroom door, asking “Mom where is the……” Long soaks in the bathtub are a fond memory. I have taken my ipad to the pool, or the lake, but I have a fear of dropping it in the water, so I don’t find it very relaxing.

Never ever in the bath. I am too scared of dropping it in the water.
