Tell Me Something Tuesday: A piece of advice…

Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post hosted on Rainy Day Ramblings. This topic is from a couple of weeks ago:

What are things you do to help alleviate the stress of keeping up with a blog?

Basically, I remind myself that blogging is a hobby. I don’t get paid for it. I do it for fun and for my love of books. If it became too stressful and it weren’t an enjoyment anymore, I would take a step back and try to put things back into perspective. We have a life too, after all…

Thankfully this hasn’t happened yet. I’ve always done my best to go through the priorities, and give everything it’s due importance. Some things come first, others come second. If we have balance in our lives, I believe all things are done well without us having to give up anything.

This is the advice I’d give to new bloggers: balance. If blogging becomes stressful, take a break. Don’t overdo yourself. Remember that blogging has to make you happy. Look what’s important in your life, and try to find room for all those things that matter the most to you. If blogging is in the list, then see how much time you have for it. You don’t have to always write long posts. Sometimes we just don’t have the time. A little post, but meaningful, will always be appreciated by readers. You show them you care. Length isn’t always tantamount to quality. Sometimes it’s the other way around.

So balance, people. Let’s make it a key word in our lives.
