Did you get any great bookish surprises in 2015?
I was totally surprised by how much I loved the Markham Hall books by Sierra Simone. I always thought I hated historical romance; if I want that kind of thing I would read Hardy or Bronte. I loved Ivy and Julian – what a surprise.
I had read A Second Chance At Paris and Zero Day Exploit by Cole McCade and loved them but The Lost blew me away. Gritty, dark, haunting so different from his other books.
And of course Gus by Kim Holden. So many references in the book to words and phrases that the Bright Side family suggested. I laughed my head off at the bits I recognised as coming from my friends. I might have shed the odd tear or two also.
