OMG! Where has this year gone? Here we are at the end of July and I am thinking I need to look back at what I’ve been reading. Here are my favorites reads so far….
So this is totally a mixed bag, because I read all kinds of genres and there might a series thrown in there too!
So I was totally late for this amazing party. The Iron Fey series is pretty fantastic, and you can check out my post here. The adventures that Meg, Puck and Ash go through to have their happy ending makes my heart go a flutter. Ash. *happy sigh*
–“I will always be your knight, Meghan Chase,” he whispered in a strained voice, as if every moment he remained was painful to him. “And I swear, if there is a way for us to be together, I will find it. No matter how long it takes. If I have to chase your soul to the ends of eternity, I won’t stop until I find you, I promise.”
I am anxiously waited for the last book in the series to come out in September. The Lost Codex! Check out my review for the whole series here.
If you love classic literature, and always wondered what would happen if some of the book characters you loved, grew up and lived in the world as we know it, then you will LOVE this series. Heather is a genius. What she is able to do with these characters and the storylines is incredible. I am in awe of how her mind works. This series will make you want to read more. It will make you want to go back to your favorite books to reread and look for clues in their storylines, and picture them as real people living in our world.
No favorite list of mine would be complete without a book from JLA! Because of the book’s connection with the Covenant series, it’s difficult to not be in love with the series. I mean it’s Seth, and he’s…Seth.
JLA did it again. This book is all kinds of awesome for a number of reasons.
Swoony/Steamy scenes with Seth and Josie
Kiss ass fight scenes
Special guest appearance that I would love to talk about, but can’t because that will ruin things.
Being in Seth’s head is crazy hot.
This could so be a fantastic tv series. Just saying.
Next book can’t come soon enough.
If I had to add anything to what has already been said about The Shadow, I would say that of all the books in the series, including the Gabriel trilogy, this book has a strong moral message. There is an underlying message about choosing to take the higher ground, even when most would not.
Check my review here. The final book The Roman will be out in December!
So no surprise that this book is here, if you know me at all. The Shadowhunters world just completely owns me. Ms. Clare is a genius, and that’s all.
I adore everything about this book and this is only first one, so more amazing storytelling to come.
Now it’s your turn! Share in the comments some of your favorite reads so far for 2016. I would love to hear from you!
