Musing Mondays (11/14)

THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION: How has your reading changed in the last 10 years?

Until this year my reading has increased over the past ten years…A LOT! This year has been a struggle for me, and I’m not sure why. It takes me longer to really connect with a book. I guess you could say that I’ve been in a weird book funk, and I’m really ready for it to end. The other big difference is that I began reading way more romance than I used to…hence the blog 😉

What about you?

I echo your answer…except for the blog comment. I am also hoping to get out of this funk I am in. I keep thinking I will come across that ONE book that will do it…one that will devastate me and thrill me and make deliriously happy to have picked it up and read it. You know…THAT ONE.

I am definitely reading way more than I did 10 years ago. But now it sometimes feels overwhelming. So many books I want to get to….

The invention of 3-readers has revolutionized the meaning of being a book-nerd. A book nerd can go crazy, with thousands of e-books on a handful of devices. Now, it is possible to literally carry a library with you, wherever you go. I am like a kid in a candy store. Now, the only problem is trying to decide what to read next.

Definitely increased over the last ten years. I had stopped reading altogether for many years and then started reading again around seven years ago with a voracious appetite. This year sucks because I haven’t had enough free time to read everything I want to. 😦
