Musing Mondays (1/16)

THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION: How do you make time for reading when you are very busy? Or how do you find a better balance between wanting to spend time reading and other commitments?

When I was reading 3-5 books a week I was basically reading anytime I wasn’t doing something else. I read on breaks and lunch at work, and at home I wasn’t watching TV, or doing anything other than reading except for bathroom, blogging, and eating breaks. It was NOT a balanced life at all. After doing that for several years I realized how unbalanced my life had become, and so I forced myself to do other things.

2016 was especially challenging for me because I got into such a reading funk. I couldn’t concentrate. It was hard for me to get into any book and stay with it. I think a lot of that had to do with outside influences. I’m hoping 2017 is kinder for me book wise. Maybe this prolonged break was what I needed.

How about you?
