So for now on Sunday’s I’ll share some of my favorite book boyfriends in a different way…this week…the paranormals…

Some upcoming news that I want you to be aware of…

If you somehow missed it…and with all the excitement it generated I’m surprised if you did… SR is writing a Fantasy Date for the Professor and I. Do you have any idea how happy I am about this?!? OMG! I’m beyond happy to be honest…this propelled me straight into the ecstatic stratosphere. Gabriel and Tamie…on a date?!? WoW!  When he tweeted THAT stunner?!? I excitedly tried to jump up out of my chair…and instead I slid off of the slippery leather…right onto my…yeah…it wasn’t pretty, but it was pretty funny.

Know what I did yesterday to celebrate this very special event?!? I went out and bought some VERY high heels with the Professor in mind. I gotta tell ya…I haven’t bought heels that high in a really long time, but for him…O yeah!

Don’t worry… I’ll let you know the when of it with plenty of advance notice…so you can take the day off from work. I’m sure we’ll all be useless  😉

In other Gabriel’s Inferno news…SR will also be releasing a teaser from the upcoming sequel here at Bookish Temptations in April…I know you’re all just squirming impatiently to read that…ME TOO!!!

Geez, I love it when I can pass along such good stuff to share with you **Happy Sigh**

Tamie Xo

This and That…

Today I wanted to discuss and share  a little of this and that…some quickie thoughts if u will. Altho I must confess I don’t normally advocate for quickies…sometimes a quickie is just what you need…for the moment 😉

Titles – When I first started doing reviews and other posts one of the hardest things for me to do was come up with a title. I knew I wanted it to be something catchy, and I wanted it to be something that would make people want to read whatever it was. Reviews don’t really lend themselves to that however, unless I want to make it so long it takes up 2 lines…Problem with that is I never liked how it looked at the top of the post. A secondary problem is that it makes the link sooooooooooooo long. I kind of gave up being creative on that, and pretty much just stick with the standard book blogger format, boring tho it may be.

A Valentine from Dominic to Kerrigan

***Adult Content***

Dear Kerrigan Querida,

Roses are red. Violets are blue.

You belong to me. I belong to you.

Okay, fuck that. You know I don’t do the sappy shit, but I wanted you to have something that’s from my heart anyway. I fucking love you. Plain and simple.

I’m a better person with you in my life. When other people look at me, they see a thug for hire, a murderer, someone they should fear. And they’re right. But you . . . you see me as someone deserving of someone like you. You believed in me even when I had written myself off along with the rest of the world, and that’s some serious shit. In this case, shit would be a good thing.

Fuck me . . . I’m terrible at this sort of thing, but Gabe insisted you would like it. I don’t know why I let him talk me into things. Especially when I’d rather show you how I feel with my fingers, hands, tongue, and more than anything, my cock – because I know what the fuck I’m doing when I’ve got you naked, or even semi-naked in front of me, under me, on top of me . . . ravishing every part of you with every part of me. Goddamnit. See what the hell you do to me, woman? I swear I’m not a horndog. Okay, so maybe I am, but bringing you so much pleasure that you nearly pass out is the only way I know to express my feelings for you and my gratitude for all that you’ve done to make my miserable existence one worth living.

Bottom line, you saved me from the demons that haunted me, from a curse that threatened to make me fade from existence, and from my father Satan’s Left Nut. But most importantly, you saved me from myself. And you love me . . . like no other woman ever has or could.

These are the things that make me grateful that someone out there made sure our paths crossed and I get to spend the rest of this life, and every life hereafter, irrevocably attached to my soul mate. When I think about spending every day of forever making love to the most beautiful, most caring, most giving woman to ever breathe air . . .

Christ, now I have a fucking boner. I can’t help it. I just keep imagining the way you feel when I’m inside you, the way your full lips look when they’re wrapped around my cock, the gentle bounce of those fantastic tits when you’re riding me, and your smell . . . your taste when you grant me access to bury my face between those creamy thighs. Most of all, the brightness of your eyes when you call out my name in ecstasy. I fucking do that to you, and you have no idea what knowing that does to me in return.

Dammit, there I go again. I’m just going to end this now so I can find you and show you some of every last fucking detail of these things, because, yeah, showing is a hell of a lot better than telling.

I don’t deserve you. I know this. But, I will spend every second of every day of an eternity just trying to be worthy of you.

Happy Valentine’s Day, Querida. Mi alma es tuya por siempre . . . my soul is yours forever.

P.S. I might have written a song for you that explains how I feel, which is markedly better than this epic failure of a love letter. Yeah, so . . . just listen to it. You really do make me a better man.

Search Engine Terms

I’m a curious type of gurl. I like to know the why’s and how’s of things. It’s probably why I majored in Psychology and practiced it for 10 years. I wonder about all kinds of things, and let’s be honest, lots of the things I think about  are not earth shattering. For example, I often wonder why people pick the places to sit that they do when they have a choice. Like in a classroom. Some people always gravitate to the same seating area. I myself almost always chose to sit near but not in the front, and fairly close to the door.  The more comfortable I was with the Professor…NO! Not that Professor…the closer I would venture away from the door, and more toward the middle.

Anyway, I think about stuff like that all the time, so naturally I’m somewhat curious as to what might bring people to visit my blog. Some peeps come because they’re my friends and we have a common interest in books, authors, fantasy boyfriends, etc. and they’re supportive of me. Some people come because they think I’m entertaining in the way I present the topics I write about. Some come out of curiosity, or because my site was recommended or twittered about. Then there’s the ones who come because they’ve typed in a phrase in a search engine and up popped Bookish Temptations .

The platform I use is wordpress, and one of the features is a page called site stats. It gives all kinds of info to me every day. It tells me how many site visitors I have, and what posts they visited. This is important to know because it lets me know what topics you guys like best. It tells me who referred the visits, ie. whether it was via twitter, facebook, search engines, etc.  That’s as specific as it gets tho. It doesn’t tell me who came,  just where they came from. Some of you just heaved a big sigh of relief. That’s ok, we all have our secret guilty pleasures, and I’m certainly ok with being one of yours 😉

There is another box that is more specific as to the search engine terms that are used to bring people here, and most of it is not unexpected. Mostly it’s certain books, certain authors, certain characters, certain topics, but every few days I’m surprised by at least one term or another. I have to wonder how surprised the viewer  is once they get here as well.  I thought it might be fun to show you some typical as well as untypical search engine terms that have been used.

Just in case your curious…like me.

Favorite Book Passages from…a whole lotta books.

One of my favorite things to discuss here…other than my fantasy boyfriends are great quotes, scenes, and passages from my favorite books. I do this because I’m hoping for one of two reactions.

1) That I spur the interest of someone who hasn’t read the book they come from enough so that they’ll go read the book.

2nd) To bring back good memories for those who have read and enjoyed them.

Most of the books I choose to read nowadays don’t come from the big publishing houses. They are books not readily available in places like Barnes and Noble, or even from your local library. There is so much talent out there that needs your help and support. I really hope that you’ll take a look at the smaller publishing companies like Omnific and TWCS if you haven’t already.

When you find an author(s) you love make sure you spread the word. Recommend, review, list, tag, rate.  You don’t have to have a blog to do any of those things. You can do it on Goodreads, Amazon, Twitter…

Do the authors appreciate it? YES! They do!

I promised you great passages didn’t I?  Well what are you waiting for? Make the jump and read…O by the way…most of the ones I chose are …erm…spicy. Did you bring your fan with you?
