Sexy Sentence Saturday: Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning…

Today’s Sexy Sentence Saturday comes from the first book of one of my top 5 series: Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning.

I read this series in March of 2011, and I was addicted to it for months…O, and Jericho Barrons? Yup…he’s one of my top 3 fantasy boyfriends, along with Gabriel Emerson, and Christian Grey. If you’ve never read the Fever series you really should….

My Book Boyfriend: V’Lane

***Adult Content***

When I read the Fever series for the first time I had a love/hate relationship with V’lane.

Yes, he’s incredibly sexy as hell, and yes I can’t even imagine being around someone…or something… that is so utterly beautiful…let alone has the power to give O’s with a look, a touch…YOWZA! How is that even fair?!? I think my reluctance to fully embrace him at first was based on 2 factors. The 1st is that I’m a Jericho Barrons gurl all the way, and I was from the get go. The 2nd reason was because I didn’t trust either of them for the longest time, but I trusted Barrons more. I knew that both of them wanted something from Mac, but something in my gut told me that JZB really cared for her on a deeper level. Was I right or wrong?!? Y’all know I’m not gonna answer that in case there are peeps who haven’t read the series yet.

Upon subsequent readings I have made my peace with V’lane, and decided that he most assuredly deserved to get a turn at being my book boyfriend…so here goes…

Barrons’ Sex POV on Audio…

Hey Fever Fans! Do y’all remember the Sex from JZB’s POV that Karen Marie Moning published last year?!?

Well…KMM has had an audio version made and you can purchase it for $1.99 thru her website. The article itself is wonderful and I encourage you to read it if you haven’t. At the end she writes “The Alpha Alternative download includes a scorching hot 30-minute audio recording of the sex scene I wrote from Jericho Barrons’ point of view, plus a PDF download of the text for your eReaders and computers.” and “Email me and let me know what you think. Phil and Natalie totally nailed the scene! Not much makes me squirm.  This did :)”

Something else I really love is that she has a small sample to let you listen to. I’d warn you that the sample is graphic tho short, but if ur a Fever gurl like me that’s A-OK. Now I’m also the type of gurl who must have anything and everything available to add to my Fever collection, so yes I’ve purchased it. If anybody else has or does lemme know what you think.

Bloodfever by Karen Marie Moning

I used to think my sister and I were just two nice southern girls who’d get
married in a few years and settle down to a quiet life. Then I discovered
that Alina and I descend, not from good wholesome southern stock, but from an
ancient Celtic bloodline of powerful sidhe-seers, people who can see the Fae.
Not only can I see the terrifying otherworldly race, but I can sense the
sacred Fae relics that hold the deadliest of their magic.
When my sister was found dead in a trash-filled alley in Dublin, I came over
to get answers. Now all I want is revenge. And after everything I’ve learned
about myself, I know I have the power to get it….
MacKayla Lane’s ordinary life underwent a complete makeover when she landed
on Ireland’s shores and was plunged into a world of deadly sorcery and
ancient secrets.
In her fight to stay alive, Mac must find the Sinsar Dubh-a million-year-old
book of the blackest magic imaginable, which holds the key to power over both
the worlds of the Fae and of Man. Pursued by Fae assassins, surrounded by
mysterious figures she knows she cannot trust, Mac finds herself torn between
two deadly and irresistible men: V’lane, the insatiable Fae who can turn
sensual arousal into an obsession for any woman, and the ever-inscrutable
Jericho Barrons, a man as alluring as he is mysterious.
For centuries the shadowy realm of the Fae has coexisted with that of humans.
Now the walls between the two are coming down, and Mac is the only thing that
stands between them….

Bloodfever is the 2nd book in the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning.

Fever FanFic?!? Sweet!

Y’all know how much I love the Fever series right!?! Well, several months ago I looked for some Fever ff, and it was in rather short supply. I was really kind of devastated… I want more Jericho and Mac…OK…really more Jericho than Mac but hey can you blame me?

A couple of weeks ago I was perusing thru fanfic.net and OMG! Guess what I found?!? Yep…you guys are so smart. I came across a good deal more Fever stories than the last time I checked. I have since read a few of them, and it occurred to me that maybe I should pass them along to you…cuz I know a lot of you are huge fans of Jericho and Fever as well.

I’d love to be able to dazzle you with my knowledge of ff lingo, but sadly I’m lacking in that area, and haven’t mastered all the terms yet, so bear with me Mkay?
