Way Back Wednesday: My Favorite “First Book” in a Series

Way Back Wednesday is a Book Meme created by A Well Read Woman with the aim to write mini book reviews on books read in the past, that left a lasting impression.

When an author decided to write a series, I think the first book is crucial. First, it has to leave a long lasting impression to us–readers. Secondly, almost the same thing as the first one…it has to be something different. A story has to stand out and make us want to beg for more as soon as you flip the last page of the book. Sometimes, authors does not plan on writing a series at all but because the story was too beautiful, they just cannot stop from there. And the readers kept on asking for more.

Hola!  I think I’m in love! Again. With another guy. From a new book! LOL Okay, enough with the blabbering. I recently received a wonderful gift from an awesome author…although it wasn’t my birthday and in fact it’s the author’s birthday! How cool is she?! Ha! I’m talking about the super awesomesauce J. M. Darhower who surprised us with her new book-The Mad Tatter.  It was released on April 12th.

BTW, belated Happy Birthday Jessica! 😉
