Broken Prince (The Royals Book 2) by Erin Watt

These Royals will ruin you…

From wharf fights and school brawls to crumbling lives inside glittery mansions, one guy tries to save himself.

Reed Royal has it all—looks, status, money. The girls at his elite prep school line up to date him, the guys want to be him, but Reed never gave a damn about anyone but his family until Ella Harper walked into his life.

What started off as burning resentment and the need to make his father’s new ward suffer turned into something else entirely—keep Ella close. Keep Ella safe. But when one foolish mistake drives her out of Reed’s arms and brings chaos to the Royal household, Reed’s entire world begins to fall apart around him.

Ella doesn’t want him anymore. She says they’ll only destroy each other.

She might be right.

Secrets. Betrayal. Enemies. It’s like nothing Reed has ever dealt with before, and if he’s going to win back his princess, he’ll need to prove himself Royally worthy.

What to say. What to say. Honestly, I can’t say much, because it would seriously ruin it for you. Maybe I’ll go with what I was feeling while reading…

I don’t know why I was so surprised when I started this book that I would end up staying up late reading and then finish it in 36 hours. I mean, if you check out the reviews that both Tamie and I did for the first book, Bad Romeo,  the characters and story are so amazing and addictive that why wouldn’t the conclusion of their love story be any different?

Tell Me Something Tuesday with Elena: Favorite Series’ End Books of 2014

Tell Me Something Tuesday

Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post hosted by Rainy Day Ramblings. This week’s topic:

2014 has been a year of series conclusions. What were some of your favorite end books?

This was a wonderful year for several of our favorite series. We got to read the epic finales. I have to be honest – when a series comes to a conclusion I always go through a bittersweet moment. I’m sad to have to say goodbye to those characters I grew fond of, but I know I’ll be able to re-read the series whenever I want.

Here are the end books of my favorite series in 2014:

Katiebird Reviews: Skygods by Sarah Latchaw + Giveaway

Skygods by Sarah Latchaw

Made with Repix (http://repix.it)

Kaye Trilby and her ex-husband, world-famous author Samuel Cabral, vowed to fight for their rekindled love in rain or shine. They didn’t realize they’d be caught in a deluge so quickly.

A near-fatal skydiving accident shows Kaye how her reckless behavior affects the ones she loves. But while she knows Samuel is afraid to lose her again, she isn’t ready to give up the thrill of the wild backcountry.

Something darker is slipping into Samuel’s mind, though. The specters of his past are re-emerging. His polish is deteriorating, just as all of Hollywood braces for his blockbuster book-to-movie adaptation. When he appears on Kaye’s doorstep late one night in a rumpled tuxedo, erratic and agitated, it seems that romance with her ex might be her biggest leap yet. A string of failed relationships has pushed Samuel to the brink, the fall-out leaving him in a dark place—a place where Kaye is powerless to help him. She is reluctantly drawn back into Samuel’s glittering and backbiting world of celebrity, all the while clinging to the steadfast peaks of home.

Can Kaye risk her heart with Samuel a second time? Will they ever find their blue skies?

When I was given an ARC of Skygods from the publishers, I decided I would reread the first book, Hydraulic Level Five, just because I loved it so much. I thought I would share with you my thoughts on the first book as well.

Elena Reviews: Fearless (Ruin #2.5) by Rachel Van Dyken

Fearless cover

The synopsis:

When I met Kiersten, time stood still. It was as if every cell in my body screamed HER. I couldn’t look away, I couldn’t walk away, I couldn’t even move. My other half, my soul mate, was staring right at me. I had to have her. I had to make her mine. But I felt selfish doing that–knowing that I may not have endless amounts of time to give her…and even now that every things’ over with and I’ve been given that time back.

Nothing is ever certain in this life.

Which is why I’m about to do something crazy, impulsive, daring.
After all, what type of person would I be if I didn’t take my own advice?
I’m jumping off the cliff, I’m living fearlessly.

This is the continuation of Wes and Kiersten’s story.

My review:

“You stopped my heart the day I met you, re-started it, and gave it a new rhythm. You are my heart.”

It’s no secret that Weston Michels is one of my favorite male characters ever. And his incredible love story with Kiersten, which is told in Ruin, is one that touches the soul.

Fearless is the continuation of Wes and Kiersten’s story. It’s a short, sweet and sexy novella that needs to be read after Toxic.

In Fearless the attention goes back to Weston and Kiersten. After Ruin, we saw them in Toxic, where they helped Gabe and Saylor deal with life changing experiences, and now they go back to being the protagonists. When I finished Ruin, I didn’t want to let Wes and Kiersten go, and I wanted to see how things between them would progress. This novella is exactly what I had hoped for.
