I’ve been waiting like a lifetime for this book and finally it’s here for us to devour! I love love love this series so much!!! First of all, CONGRATULATIONS to Helena Hunting for yet again another spectacular story. I’ve been PUCKED, I must admit, but my heart is forever inked by the Clipped Wings series. Continue reading
I’m a curious person. Always have been and hope I always will be. Big things, little things, things of importance, inconsequential things…you get the picture. As a blogger I’m curious about how people respond so differently to storylines, writing styles, characters, etc., and I’m hoping you’ll indulge my curiosity from time to time on different bookish topics…
Have you ever read a book so emotionally draining you couldn’t complete it or had to set aside?
Every story has two sides, and in this new book, the epic love story between Kiera and Kellan is shown through his eyes.
All Kellan Kyle needs is his guitar, and some clean sheets of paper. Growing up in a house that was far from a home, he learned a hard lesson:You’re worthless. Now his life is comfortably filled with passionate music, loyal band mates, and fast women…until he meets her.
Kiera makes him ache for more. Makes him feel for the first time that he’sworth more. But there’s one problem – she’s his best friend’s girl.
Just when Kellan thought his emotional defenses were rock solid, Kiera’s indecisive heart wreaks havoc on his soul, changing him forever. Losing Kiera is not an option.
Doesn’t that look like a cozy little reading spot? That’s not why you’re here tho is it? You saw book recommendations, and maybe thought you’d find a great book to read right?!? Well, that’s what I’m here for 🙂
I’ve read several books that I didn’t review but I really enjoyed, so I wanted to pass along my shout out for them in case you haven’t had the pleasure yourself…ready?!?
Torture To Her Soul (Monster in His Eyes #2) by the awesome J. M. Darhower was released 2 days ago. Like finally! The wait is over! Can I be any more excited?! I am squeeing at the top of my lungs because, oh boy! Was it good? NO! It’s
I was so glad to be on Naz’s head this time since it was written on his POV.
“Don’t say it unless you mean it…” ~Naz
I so mean it when I say you should pick up this series! I absofuckinglutely recommend this book and if you haven’t read book 1 yet—Monster in His Eyes, this is the right time because it’s a must that you begin with book 1 first.
I don’t have enough words to express how I LOVED Darhower’s style of writing. She’ll take you right in front of the scene like you’re there and not just reading and watching it from a far. I felt it. My emotions were stirred and pulled from the depth of my heart. That moment when you pause from reading but suddenly you’ll remember a scene out of nowhere because you are so drawn to the characters. It was a rollercoaster ride. The twist and turns of event has wrecked me. The heartache is devastating but I’m glad I get to experience. And the epic conclusion about Naz & Karissa’s story is just perfect.
I have always LOVED, LOVED, LOVED J. M. Darhower! And I mean it. I’ve read all her novels, and will read anything that she throws my way. Again, she just prove how great of an author she is.
Check out Elena’s 5 brilliant star rating for this book, but first, let me show you some scenes that will surely make you want to pick up the series now.
It’s dark and twisted; erotic and intense; and most especially not for the faint-hearted.
***You have been warned.***
We love giving book recommendations here at Bookish Temptations, and so today I want to give a shout out for a series that I’ve really enjoyed by A.L. Jackson…
For Tracey Rooks, life with her grandparents on a Wyoming farm has always been simple. But after her grandmother’s death, Tracey is all her grandfather has. So when Eagle Elite University announces its annual scholarship lottery, Tracey jumps at the opportunity to secure their future and enters. She isn’t expecting much-but then she wins. And life as she knows it will never be same . . .
The students at Eagle Elite are unlike any she’s ever met . . . and they refuse to make things easy for her. There’s Nixon, gorgeous, irresistible, and leader of a group that everyone fears: The Elect. Their rules are simple. 1. Do not touch The Elect. 2. Do not look at The Elect. 3. Do not speak to The Elect. No matter how hard she tries to stay away, The Elect are always around her and it isn’t long until she finds out the reason why they keep their friends close and their enemies even closer. She just didn’t realize she was the enemy — until it was too late.
Rachel Van Dyken is a favorite author here at Bookish Temptations. Her male characters and books made a few of the top ten lists for 2013. For that reason, I decided to take on her series, Eagle Elite. I thought I knew from the summary what this series was about, but was intrigued and surprised at the turn that Rachel decided to take with her characters.
