It is both a pleasure and honor to work with Kim Jones for her latest release–Sinner’s Creed.
I don’t even know where to start, this book ruined me. F.RUINED. It’s heart breaking, gut wrenching and violently addicting. Am I sick for calling it beautiful. Maybe. But I devoured every scene. I witnessed Dirk’s life and I loved him for being him. No more. No less. I’ve read reviews and they wished for a different ending. I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s MC, it has romance but it’s violent, it’s gritty, it’s brutal and it will fuck ruin your mind relentlessly. Well, that’s life. Sometimes life is even worse than that. I might sound like a blabbering mad woman but maybe if you’re in for a crazy, dark, wild, roller coaster ride… Just one-click if you dare.
Book Beginnings on Fridays is a meme hosted by Rose City Reader. A couple of Fridays a month, I will share the first sentence (or so) of the book I am currently reading, along with my initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires.
It’s me again, talking about the amazingness that is Jennifer L. Armentrout. She completely owns me this month, because the second book in the Titan series came out this week, The Power! Seth was so inspiring and such a badass, that he got his own series after the completion of the Covenantseries.
The ride of her life . . . Once upon a time, Carissa Teodoro believed in happy endings. Money, marriage, motherhood: everything came easy—until she woke up to the ugly truth about her Prince Charming. Now a struggling, single mom and stranded by a flat tire, Carissa’s pondering her mistakes when a vaguely familiar knight rides to her rescue on a ton of horsepower.
Climb on and hold tight . . .
In high school, Carson Steele was a bad boy loner who put Carissa on a pedestal where she stayed far beyond his reach. Today, he’s the hard-bodied biker known only as Joker, and from the way Carissa’s acting, it’s clear she’s falling fast. While catching her is irresistible, knowing what to do with her is a different story. A good girl like Carissa is the least likely fit with the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Too bad holding back is so damned hard. Now, as Joker’s secrets are revealed and an outside threat endangers the club, Joker must decide whether to ride steady with Carissa—or ride away forever . . .
