It’s my first time reading something from Jaimie Roberts and I did ask myself, “why only now?”. Sometimes, we miss all the pretties and it’s been an honor and a lot of pleasure working with this one of a kind amazing lady.

Illustrated Temptations: Saving Evangeline by Nancee Cain

I admit, I’m not a huge fan of the paranormal genre…but I do have a few of my faves on the list.  I’m so glad to be able to add one more author for keeps. I recently had the opportunity to read Saving Evangeline by Nancee Cain. It was her debut novel and I must say, AWESOME JOB! She’s now on my radar for a must watch author.

So as I was saying…the author slayed it with a beautiful writing flow, an amazing story line, and characters to fall in love with.  I loved the journey of these two souls who are both lost and trying to find themselves. They learn the meaning of life together; they learn how to live it; and they both learn how to love. Remiel and Evangeline are two special characters that will make you cry, smile, laugh and hope.

Illustrated Temptations: Poughkeepsie Begins by Debra Anastasia

“You will never be alone! We’re together. Do you understand?.”Beckett

How could you not love Beckett? Cole? and Blake? These three have always been on the list of my favorite book boyfriends. They made a comeback after the happily ever after on Saving Poughkeepsie. It’s not a continuation though. It’s a rewind from the start, when the bromance blossoms between the three. I had a love-hate moment reading Poughkeepsie Begins. There were so many heart wrenching scenes that I truly cannot imagine happening to these young boys. But everything that they went through really defines and molds the strong foundation of their brotherhood.

Debra will always be on my top favorite authors.

Check out some of my favorite scenes…

Illustrated Temptations: The Truth About Air and Water by Katherine Owen

IMG_0387

WOW. This is the exact word that I uttered after reading Katherine Owen‘s book—The Truth About Air & Water. This is the second book on her Truth and Lies Series. Although you can actually read this as a stand alone novel, I really think that you should start with book 1—This Much Is True, because the story of Linc and Tally was introduced there. I am really kicking myself for not being able to read the book 1 first. And I will as soon as possible because I want more from this author!;)

It was heavy, it was sweet. You’ll laugh and you’ll definitely cry. There’s betrayal, lies and reconciliation. Gosh! You’ll feel everything in this story. I was such an emotional wreck at some parts of the book that I had to pause and take a break. Which is good—I love this kind of perfectly flawed story.

And because I prefer to less talk, I wanna show you some teasers that will definitely make you one-click that link after, because it was so worth it.
