A reader and fan had an absolutely fantastic idea about creating a dream cast for the Gabriel Inferno series using all Canadian actors/actresses. As SR is Canadian and so much of the series takes place there I wanted to share her choices with you. I think they’re all terrific!
Hey peeps, I hope everyone is doing perfectly great.
So, in exactly 8 days from now the most admirable “Professor Gabriel O. Emerson” will be back for the 3rd book of Gabriel’s series–Gabriel’s Redemption by Sylvain Reynard. YES!!! That will be on December 3 so please don’t forget to mark your calendars, alarm your phones and make sure you pre-order it.
I know everyone is waiting anxiously, so why don’t we do something fun? I’ll be flashing some yummy candidates for Gabriel Emerson below and make sure you cast your vote at the end of the post. Yeah, yeah I know a lot of peeps have been pinning for David Gandy and Henry Cavill for the Professor but, here’s a few more hottielicious men who can surely resemble Gabriel.
When I write an Observations post it’s because something or someone has moved me, or provoked me to do so.
First, let me make one thing perfectly clear. I FLOVE the Fifty Shades series. I loved them when they were just coming out, and I was so very excited when E.L. James was picked up by a major publishing house and the books went tearing up all the best sellers lists. I was thrilled when she broke the news that Fifty was going to be made into a movie. Movies based on books are risky in that it’s so difficult to fit all that happens in a two hour time span. Then there’s the casting…when a book is so popular there are always going to be some fan groups that are disappointed because the person they thought best for the role didn’t get it. For a variety of reasons. That brings me to what I really want to discuss…
Recently, Elena did a fabulous piece on books that she’d love to see made into movies. Now, Elena,Gel, and I will be bringing you our choices for book to film, and who we’d cast if we had that ability.
We’re going to be doing some book to movie castings for you starting this week. Lots of other blogs have done casting posts, including the first blog I belonged to. We only did the male lead though, and on Bookish we’re going to include the female lead of course… as well as a lot of the secondary characters. This is one of the items you’ve been asking to see on Bookish, and I think we’ll all have fun with it.
We realize that not everyone will agree with our choices, and we would love to see who you envision if they differ from ours. Just do it respectfully peeps.
