“You will never be alone! We’re together. Do you understand?.” —Beckett
How could you not love Beckett? Cole? and Blake? These three have always been on the list of my favorite book boyfriends. They made a comeback after the happily ever after on Saving Poughkeepsie. It’s not a continuation though. It’s a rewind from the start, when the bromance blossoms between the three. I had a love-hate moment reading Poughkeepsie Begins. There were so many heart wrenching scenes that I truly cannot imagine happening to these young boys. But everything that they went through really defines and molds the strong foundation of their brotherhood.
Content Warning: This bookcontains graphic sexual situations, mature language and explicit description of physical and sexual violence.There is a fine line between genius and madness…
Between love and hate,
Between right and wrong.
Joseph had created The Estate for her…
The woman he chose to bear his child.
She was beauty unsurpassed;
And her song was unlike anything he’d ever known.
However, their love was a story that would not find a happy ending.In this prequel novella to the Estate series, follow Joseph Carmichael as he creates a world unlike any other. Because, in order to comprehend The Estate, you must understand Joseph; but, in order to understand Joseph, you must discover how a man falls from light into the pitch black depths of ultimate darkness.
It always excites me when an author decides to write more about their beloved characters. That’s why I am a bit disappointed with myself for not reading it sooner when I got my copy. Well you know how real life intrudes on our reading time. lol Anyway, I’m just so glad to know more about Ryan and Julia during the time when they met and how all the sparks happened. And it was all written here—Before Ryan Was Mine.
This series is one of the sweetest love stories that will always have a special spot in my heart.
Kennedy Ryan writes contemporary romance and women’s fiction. She always give her characters their happily ever after, but loves to make them work for it! It’s a long road to love, so sit back and enjoy the ride. In an alternative universe and under her government issue name, Tina Dula, she is a wife to the love of her life, mom to a special, beautiful son, and a friend to those living with autism through her foundation Myles-A-Part, serving Georgia families.
Her writings on Autism have appeared in Chicken Soup for the Soul, and she has been featured on the Montel Williams Show, NPR, Headline News and others. Ryan is donating a portion of her proceeds to her own foundation and to her charitable partner, Talk About Curing Autism (TACA).
Her interview series MOMMIES DO THE MOST AMAZING THINGS is featured each month in Brooke Burke’s online magazine Modern Mom.
